Doodes,
Your naming all my favorite djs!!!
If I'm lucky enough to play at Systems on the 19th, I'll be throwing down some hard trance, Fallout Boy, BK, Andy Farley, Anne Savage, Lab 4 and James Laweson...
Just crossing my fingers that's all. |
if you play some hard dance i will be there with my tidy trax t-shirt doing the hard house wiggle

also lab-4 BK, andy farly and anne savage play hard dance not hard trance.
BK used to play just hard house but now drops alot more hard dance tunes same as andy farley.
Lab- 4 is brilliant by far one pure hard dance insanity

totally differnt.
But is also depends on a nation by nation context.
hard trance of the style in canada is alot slower but with heavier base and ( more boring bass line).
Hard trance in the UK is typified by Djs such as JFK, K90 and adam sheridan.
Hard dance is genre that attempts to catalog the broader genre of hard house and hard trance and funky techno into one broad rubric of musical styles.
Djs that fall under this group are typified by
BK, andy farley, rob tissera. paul glazby, tara reynolds and lab 4 eddie halliwell somewhat
Although in the that broad rubric
djs such as BK, andy farly would be more hard house and
lab 4 would be considered more hard dance
does that help

Swilly... That has to be the clearest and most correct explanation that ive seen... Well said... the only club that ive heard hard dance at so far has to be Viva... Take away the hardstyle that one dj plays there (not my cuppa tea) the other guys play a ton... Bring on Glazby or BK...
Is there any other club in the city that plays this style... |

Dat man know! Eveyone else mentioned in this thread are a bunch of commercial ! OK maybe that's a little harsh, but...
(*zipping up flame-resistant suit*)
A large majority of "top" UK DJs haven't really updated their style in a few years. They're not really progressing and moving their sounds forward at all. "Hard Dance" is just a term created to give cheesy Hard House DJs more credibility as they start to jump on the Hard Trance bandwagon now that Hard House is dead. And always remember, FASTER isn't harder, HARDER is harder. :D:D:D |

thats just a justification for liking trance that has hard base lines but slow beats.
There is nothing wrong with that but that does not mean you should discredit other genres on that basis.

also hard dance sounds way differnt from what it used to about 3 years ago. There is now a greater fusion of hard sounds from all sorts of genres such as funky, hard house, hardtrance etc...
