Blaming tv, games, and music for your kids delinquent behaviour is a way for ty parents to pass responsibility for their dodgy parenting onto conveniently faceless entities.

| The worst example of religous fanatics is the psychos who use themselves as suicide bombers because they feel if they die killing people of "enemy" religions, that they will go to heaven. I know not many people belong to these religions but it's terrible that they even exist. It's one thing to die for your beliefs, but to kill other people too in the process? We live in a pretty ed up world, I'm just glad I don't live where these kind of things take place. |

Yeah, 9/11 happened just 3 hours away from me, which is a scary thought indeed...I was comparing it more though to places like Israel where there are suicide bombings almost monthly. I would hate having to live in fear that I might be out on a daily routine and get killed because someone feels it's in their religion to do so. |

Honestly, this is a clear case of complete intolerance of other people's beliefs. That might even be okay, if the people being so intolerant had any basis for their own beliefs, but they don't.
Here's what goes on in the "fanatic's" (by which I mean the moral-majority Christianity-is-the-only-true-religion fanatic's) head: I have to respect Hindus, Muslims, Jews, because they're well-established religions and I'll get in trouble if I say anything bad about them. Satanists, atheists, Wiccans, and any other cult, I can feel free to bash all I want, because they have no political power. So all you Satan-worshippers, whackos! You guys are craaaaaaaa-zy! |

I agree with you to an extent, but I also think the fasct that the Judeo-Christian world invented Satan as an antithesis to their own God has a lot to do with it... And even modern "Satanists" admit that their faith is to agreat extent about rejecting/mocking Christian doctrine. Satan is by definition opposed to Christianity... so its not at all surprising that the Christian world rejects it. Dunno about wiccans or atheists... |
