Ibiza is absolutely amazing - I guarantee you will have the time of youR life. Make sure you are there for a Thursday night so you don't miss Paul van Dyk playing at Cream @ Amnesia - one of the best nights of my life!
To see the beauty of the island (apart from the clubs!) head down to the harbour in San Antonio and get on any of the boats there and they will take you to a number of BEAUTIFUL beaches and the amazing island of Formentera - not to be missed. The West End of San Antonio can be missed really - its ok for a laugh one night but it's a bit of a dive really. DON'T eat Chinese from the West End unless you want food poisoning! I recommend Cafe del Mar and it's neighbour Cafe Mambo for the best sunsets in the world, awesome party warm-up drinks and beautiful San Gria - Yum! (most of the big DJs head down to Mambo to play early in the evening for an hour or so).

Well first you have to choose between Ibiza city or San Antonio (We went in San Antonio). In San Antonio the ppl is mainly british and younger, in here there is a street called West End plenty of bars, pubs... where you can drink before enter in the clubs. In Ibiza city the ppl is older and principally the ppl is german, italian and spanish. Also in Ibiza you see gays and in S.A. no, however more fights in S.A. than in Ibiza. - The famous clubs:
in Ibiza City ---> Pacha, El Divino and Space (after-hour)

In the middle of the Ibiza and San Antonio road (only 14 Km of lenght) ---> Amnesia and Privilege
Every day of the week every club has a different party and is the same all the summer. So one club has 7 parties; with different music, different decoration... For example @ Amnesia this last summer on thursdays was Cream party with Tiesto, PvD, Oakie...(don't miss) and on Monday Cocoon Club with Sven Vath, Richie Hawtin...
The prices are expensive at night (club tickets, drinks, taxis, drugs...) but you spend for party, for your satisfaction.
About hotels choose one not more far away of ibiza city or San Antonio. We went at Piscis Park hotel in the center of S.A. for sleep is good but the food sucks! however the situation of this hotel is very good.

Hrhr. Iīm pretty often in Holland for clubbing (Mysteryland, Tiesto in Concert, Qontact, DutchDimension, BigCapital, Armada Nights etc and now Innercity) and feel, that prices are pretty much the same :)
Ok, so Innercity has various floors but Iīm (again) just going for Tiesto and PvD and pay over 50 Euro for the ticket. Cream@Amnesia was only 42 Euro :) => ticket prices are pretty much the same, although you get a big event in Holland for the price of a (super)club entry in Ibiza
Hotels in Amsterdam or DenHaag are ing expensive... especially if you come home at 7am and have to leave the hotel at 11am :)
Holland is not as sunny as Ibiza ;)
although... recreational equipment is better in Holland and I can drive to Holland with my car and donīt have to fly
to sum it up: Holland for "interims clubbing" is great and a cool experience, but Ibiza canīt be beaten. The atmosphere at nights like Cream is still unbelievable. You canīt really compare the two. |
