TA Old Schoolers???!! Unite!

Just wondering - how many TA's are old schoolers?
(old schoolers count as those who know: Nitrous, Chemistry, Groove Room, The Rise, the Original Destiny Fridays, Transendence, E-Space (Eparties), Ravestock, Happy Face, Better Days, Industry etc. ????) A brief overview.....
Any of ya'll still out there?
Any thouhts on the scene (cough:::what scene?! hee -hee)
All this bitching, we need some old schoolers to help spread the vibe & remind you all what this is all about!!!! |

i went to an eparty in 1995 or 1996 i believe.. for a halloween bash..
and i used to go to the destiny parties (atlantis)

Yeah, atlantis/early destiny parties were awesome, what a wake up call for someone in their early teens (at the time).
I went to 2 Liquid Adrenaline parties. Man I wish we had uber-raves like way back when. Nothing better than 10k people rippin' it up! :thepirate |

unfortunately i had one of my worst experiences at a Liquid Adrenaline party .. Time Warp 5 ..
u can even ask Nat she was there too , 3hr + lineup to get inside on a FREEZING August evening .. bouncers were getting bribed left right and center to let ppl cut in and they were REALLY obvious about it too. one of the most worst organized parties ever, not to mention the venue was horrid..
Ascension parties on the other hand .. miss those!
and of course all the oldskool massives at the BLC.. :(

The BLC parties are probably as close as TO came to being like the europe parties. Man I miss those.
I wish someone would find a 15k + person venue and bring a gatecrasher-esque party (5 major DJs [ferry, armin, tiesto, hardwick, bond] and have 10 hour show (2h per dj). Wow, i would cream my victoria secret thongs over that. :stongue: :tongue3 :eyespop: |

actually, when Ari and I interview Matt Hardwick earlier this year in Jan, he mentioned that he did do a Gatecrasher event here in TO once at one of the CNE venues. I was quite surprised to hear this since I never recall one ever having been there..
perhaps he had us confused with another city, but he did describe the event quite vividly..

If gatecrasher can have a big party in australia with 9k people - they surely can have a party in TO.
I think all we need is a promoter with some balls (gonads) to front the cashish and rent out the ricoh centre or the hershy centre and throw a party.........
I can get the first $5k for the party if any promoter who is reading this is up for the challenge of a gatecraher north america event. PM me. |
