I have no problem with u posting events etc in threads, letting us know whats on, as i frequently attend you're events. You tend to alieanate people rather than promote events imo though.
BUT ITS ALL GOOD U KNOW HWY

ok - the main fact about the forum is this - dont read threads that you know you wont be interested in!!!
there are approximately 2 5am threads on page number 1 of this forum that havent been moved to the back at any one point unless some form of discussion after the event is made (discussion... australian forum... go figure :s) anyway the thing i've always loved about this forum is the fact that when you hover the mouse over the link to a thread it comes up with a certain amount of what the thread is about... hows about you people who for some reason hate 5am so much simply dont read the threads and stop bitching about this so you can post crap that is not trance related
eg:
"I need a daytime hobby."
"Are you on Bigpond Cable?"
"favourite simpson's segment"
"SHOUT OUT TO THE YOUNGER PEOPLES haha"

and then theres all the rugby-related threads which quite frankly i couldnt give a about however I DIDNT FEEL I NEEDED TO POST
i mean seriously guys at least the thats about 5am is event-related. if you dont like it dont post on it. if you want to post on like the above threads, take it to a different forum!!

But seriously there are only two 5am threads...and thats cos there are 2 5am's in the next 2 weeks...really cant see the probbo...
Although I do agree with Paulie..sometimes the threads get a little incestious...but thats another story. |

I mentioned 5am because they are the promoting threads which i see the most on here. But it goes for any "official" promoting thread. If its something like Together NYE - Information? or something similar, then fine.
I think we need a seperate forum to seperate all promoting threads from the chatty threads.

I dont read the 5am threads, nor do i read any other promotion threads which arnt about perth. Reading them is not the issue, cluttering up the forum is. Which is why i think sub forum would be the best solution. |

Escee I don't see how 1-2 threads a month is cluttering up the forum...
There really isn't reason enough to have a sub forum for maybe 5 threads max a month (incl. halcyon, perth events, etc.).
It really isn't that much, if it's taking up precious space in your browser window and pushing threads off the first page just set TA to show more threads per page. That's why there's little buttons at the bottom of the screen.
Personally I'm excited as fcuk for tiesto nye.
Yet there are 3 threads about it. Yeah it's exciting but honestly.
I haven't bitched yet I just skip over them.
If the threads aren't tailored to you skip them.
If you want to talk about simpsons or bbqs or internet connections then go ahead, we're not bitching, we'll just skip over it.
We keep 5am stuff generally only in the 5am threads, if it spreads to other threads then talk to the individuals not attack the event.
And slade, I get along with you fine, you've got good music taste; but sometimes you just love to start arguments, so this time have some dignity and say something constructive rather than provocative.
You've never been to any of the events so how would you know whether it's for the good of trance, which you hardly even appreciate nowadays (according to your posts), or continue if you will; maybe you'll get banned again. |

hmmmmm i think there should be another section, like a rollcall section coz really thats all the current threads are being used for to see who's going to an event and who's not, for the promotional side of things there's the event calendar thread to let ppl know when somethings on, and there is a purpose for another section coz there isnt alwayz just like 5 threads a month on stuff like this (ok so wen there's only the monthy trance nights put on by ta's n there is) but when u get internationals comin in ppl make like 12 different threads saying how much they're lookin forward to it then there's like another 5 for each state asking who's goin n stuff
judging by past reactions there's gunna be sum fkhd tellin me just no to read the threads, i have this to say to said person/s..........................................good for you its nice to see ppl standing up for wat they believe in

nothing wrong with the 5am threads, it just reminds me of what a great time the 5am guys and gals showed me whilst i was in melbourne :D
oh, i also have a good supply of boxes of tissues if anyone should require them ;) |
