The whole event was just a totall waste of time for me. I'm glad i got in for free, I would be really pissed as I'm sure many others are for dishing out so much cash for such a low quality party. The music was nothing special, I was really enjoying Jon The Dentist's set until he played Castles in the sky, wtf, what was he on? F*ck the big name dj's, many of the locals(who didn't get paid) spun better sets then the headliners. The best set in my opinion was Mifody's and The Aponaut also performed extremelly well.
Another thing that stunk was that the same tracks were being played over and over(tracks like Push),listen to each others set's for crying out loud. The vibe at this event was complete , where the f*ck did all the ginos appear from? The good thing was that you could chill in the tent. Lastly, the f*ckin ride back home on the shuttle bus was a totall disaster as some of you have mentioned.I trully hope that this is the end of Destiny, because they've been f*cking with partiers for a long, long time.

It got to the point were my girl friend would of had to throw out her birth control and her gravol? hahah What the is this? Vietnam? Right when the rumors started about it the gates being shut, I was like this. Someone was like I'll give 150 for two of your ticks, and since I bought them early bird, I figured I might as well. So I sold them, and started walking back. hahahahah Got a hotel room, and went to Canada's Wonderland the next day. I got the out of there when I could. |
, that's too bad buddy. well at least you had fun at CWL. anyways if the rumours are true about tiesto in toronto in sept we are definitely going to that so we can all make up for missing this ing event. we can even take mel with us. |

I was there in the line at WEMF, I was one of the many devoted ravers who drove from southern West Virginia, A 20 hour drive I might add. I will say that standing in line was the best experence I had there the music was to say the least ok.... I am a HUGE trance fane but I spent most of my time in the House tent because it was realy the only place that was thumping and playing good dance traks, I found a new DJ to look for now and that DJ Bam-bam I will say that I really was impressed by his spinning and his beats. I left a day early because I had blew out my knee danceing on the uneven gound at the main trance stage. I will say I am glad I went but Destiny really screwed themselves for future 3 day events for me unless I see Digweed or Van Dyke, or Tiesto I aint going to another it wasnt worth the money or the drive. Y couldnt it have been as "smooth" as Wintergalactic? I had a blast there but this time I can say one thing that the line was the most fun I had, I meet more people in line and made all sorts of new freinds, and if any of them R here I would like to say sorry for not saying bye before I left but I was in pain and the only thing I could think of was the long long drive back so I will say untill we meet agian, Eric and Maze, Josh and freinds and Jamie thanx for the drink and granola bar, and to all the others who I cant remember their names but I remember your faces even those of U who were hit by stray flying water bottles thrown by mean people with bad vibes. I will take my time and recupterate from my injurry and wait till the next big event and when I have the money to another event :(
Until we all meet agian PLUR.

Wow, yeah i gotta say it wasn't that great, but i still had a ton of fun. I went on Saturday with Phaze and met up ShAwZy, and got up there around... well i'm not sure, the directions were , but we got there before 7 or 6 i think. Anyways, the Trance wasn't that great there, i thought Deko-Ze actually played a nice set but it was still pretty early out when he was spinnin so everyone wasn't hyped for it at the time. John The Dentist was cool at first but then went down hill pretty fast close to the end of his set. After that i was wandering pretty much everywhere, runnin into a ton of my friends and checkin out different tents, so i ended up missin some sets that i wanted to see. I was at the main stage for a little bit when Commander Tom was on, and it was cool for the time, but i got to cold out there and had to retreat to a tent, so bein that i like DnB too i went down to that tent to catch one of my fav DnB dj's starting to spin a wicked set that made my night so much better. Overall i had a good time minus the whether & the early morning sketching. I'll just bring some more stuff to prepare me better next year if i go.
Now, I read an article in the Toronto Star about the location and apparently the place wasn't even a camp ground, it was a Hell's Angel's farmers field, so Destiny didn't need to get permits for the event! The reason why the cops were tryin to shut it down was because the guy who owned the field held a similar party like this over 2 years ago, and was not allowed to have another party there for 2 years... so they weren't sure if he could have one then. Later he proved to the cops that it was 2 years and 2 weeks since the last party so he could legally have a party there now, and that's why it never got shut down.

I think the real reason why the party never got shut down is because the cops were too scared to F*ck with the Hells Angels. Why do you suppose that the OPP wore bullet proof vests?

| I had an amazing time, minus the walk there and carrying all my stuff, I only had to wait 45 mins in line and at the time I thought that was long :P. It was weird how they played alot of the same songs, baguette, strangworld, star 69, joyenergizer, and I thought it was pretty gay when they played sandstorm and lock and load blow your mind. I thought the main stage was pretty pumping on saturday night, I was the guy sitting on the lawn chair right infront of that railing at the back where the light controller guy was, I was there both nights :P. anyways does anyone remember the name of the african amercian dj who played aroun 7-9pm, he played alot of picotto songs and he constatnly moved his head to the beats, i thought he was amazing... does anyone know how many people were actually there. |
