whats the most money that you have ever spent or would spend on a record? i spent damn near $50 on an unplayed copy of Cass & Slide - Perception (org/ vocal mix). thats alot of money but i absolutely love that song, so to me it was worth it.

Damn, had no idea they were so collectable. Should have guessed though.

*Nem starts rummaging through his collection to see if he can get minted quick!*

Actually paid about £50 for an old John Lee Hooker record once as it was a present for a friend. Not sure if the record itself was worth that much but it was well recieved so that didn't really matter.

It would be very interesting to know how the price of old trance records will be affected over a longer period of time say 10 years?
Guess we will just have to wait...

are you scooping that up off of ebay? the buy it now price was like 50 pounds. I love that song but thats abit too rich for my blood. i dont mind paying abit for records that i absolutely love if i think they're worth it. the money that i dont spend on vinyl would most likely get spent on beer.

You just have to love the fact that vinyl is tax deductable. :D
Although I have to admit that I have bought a sick amount of vinyl this year.

Vinyl is tax deductable? Why?

In the UK
If you are a professional DJ you can deduct it from your tax bill as work tools. I do the same with my mobile phone bill and petrol.

Get yourself a good accountant if you don't have one. It will be worth your while.

Cheers
