| Mine was broken into last Christmas. I had a book of 50 CD's stolen, some cologne, and leather gloves. They didn't, however, take a full bottle of 151 or my sunglasses. |

true dat, ever since I found out how easy it is to get into cars when I was younger I don't keep anything in my car. Although they might find some pennies under the seat and some booger filled napkins, I wouldn't mind it at all if they took em. |

i got my car broken into last year and my stereo was jacked -- the one time i got lazy and didnt remove the face of my stereo was the time it happened... (plus the cost of the smashed window)
i've never left the face on since then tho... |

| if something of any value is left in my car, i cover it. my car is old and generally untidy so it doesn't look tempting at all. i also throw a few tampons or pads in the back or in the passenger seat so guys think "ewww.. gross" and go to the next car. I've never had a problem.:p |

A couple times...Once in Montreal where nothing was stolen, and once in Flight Training in Portland. THat one was bad. The class was staying in a hotel, and were all Moving out to our new job from around the country at the time, so we all had our stuff packed in our vehicles. 6 of us got hit one night. Total damages and goods between the 6 of us was about 10K. PDX police at the time didn't even respond to vehicle break-ins. The report was filed via the Mail. No wonder PDX has the worst vehicle theft rate in the US.
On a normal day, nothing is kept in my car. I take the faceplate, put a cover where the stero is, and my box isn't in my vehicle while I'm out on trips, plus the alarm. :nervous: :nervous: :nervous: :nervous: :nervous: |

Interesting theft deterrent... *takes down fuzzy dice and hangs a tampon on my rear view mirror, tapes maxipad above my stereo (that should do the trick) :nervous:
Relative of mine had even worse luck. On his second day at his new Circut City job his car was stolen (95 ford taurus). Few days later the police discovered it or should i say some of it. The car had been completely stripped inside and out, up on cinder blocks in the getto. It was in such bad shape, even he couldnt recognize his own car. |
