What the longest bedroom-dj set you've done to date?

I think my longest is 3.5 hours, after that I ran out of music, I think.

The longest live online set I've done was approximately 3 hours.

There are a few reasons I haven't done any that are longer. First is the limitations of my vinyl collection (same as you), where there's a limit to the sheer number of tracks that I have available to play. Second thing is that I tend to do my online sets later at night, so I'm usually pretty damn tired by the end of them, and it's easy to reach a point where you say, "okay, mixing is getting really hard, time to call it quits or this is going to start sounding like crap".

Final points are that there's usually a limit to how long people want to listen to you for (unless you're some big-name superstar DJ), and I also have to be considerate of other DJs that may be wanting to hop on the decks once I'm done. I usually try to limit my sets to about 2 hours max.

3 hours, although I could've gone on for longer...I just grew really tired. When you're having fun mixing, time seems to fly by.

80 mins, thats all that fits on a cd and thats all I play for. plus I think I could only get maybe 2 hours if I played everything I have, and most of it really sucks so it would be pointless to do.

Djrman had a huuge set I believe, but I forget now how long it was. I think I have like 12 hours of it out of 18 er so.

Probably, I think him and another guy or two went out and set marathon records for AfterhoursDJs. I think roo & whop were a couple of the others that spun for as long as possible. Also, if I remember correctly, Roo ended up getting drunk and passing out on his decks by the end. ;)

god bless the day I have enough vinyl that I pass out playing them all.

tenaglia has played some marathin sets, but I don't think he frequents this board.

about 8 hours or so prior to this. :)
Flash Bastard
well after 2 hours the sleep comes in way 2 fast so 2 hours is long enough after that is going way down with me and with the mixing it self

I don't like mixing 3+ hour sets because my ears become dull and mixing becomes a bit stressful.
