Subject Exam Disruptions - Message From the Registrar
So far during the Fall 2003 examination period there have been a total of three FALSE fire alarms affecting buildings on the Ryerson campus.
As you will be aware, malicious activation of a fire alarm is a criminal offence as well as a violation of Ryerson's Student Code of Conduct.
I would like to assure all Ryerson students that every effort will be made to apprehend those responsible for these actions which disrupt the examination experience of so many. I can also assure you that such cases will be prosecuted to the fullest extent possible should the perpetrators be apprehended.
Anyone with information concerning these events is encouraged to contact me directly!

My friend was 98% done his exam when this occured and has been told to come and rewrite it later this week.
I had 3 alarms go off last year during my management accounting exam which I find was a slap in the face to our school "security". These alarms always seem to go off when there's a major engineering exam being held in the gymnasium like there was today and a year ago during my accounting exam.

wow, i would HATE it if that happened to me, having an exam postponed for a week or something, i mean u spent all that time studying and now its all gone
good thing ive never had this happen at uoft :):):)!! |

thank god they pulled that fire alarm during my comp.sci exam today... pffft, kicked us all out from the gym for 15 mins, which was enough time to "fill in the holes" regarding the questions on the exam, so by the time we got back in (and they figured it's a false alarm) most of us knew sumthin' sumthin' that we didn't know 15 mins before that.
And luckily, they didn't cancel the whole exam, just let us finish it... plus they added extra 15 mins for the lost time!
Props to whoever pulled that fire alarm... |

:haha: it just happened in BA today's afternoon, but the alarm didn't last for very long time, about 10 minutes, nobody left the room and no exams were postponed, :p but it's quite annoying though..... |
