Got a track to post? Okay, cool
Is it released yet? No?
Then what do you post it here for? The title clearly says it's for NEW RELEASES!
Nothing is more frustrating than browsing the boards to see what new tracks to get only to find NONE OF THESE TUNES ARE RELEASED YET!
For God's sake, is it really that hard? |

It's becomming too much of a 'omfg this tune will be out in 3 months so i better mention it b4 ne1 else does' or 'theres 20 threads on it already but mine will be better' forum
The whole point is to discuss music that we have bought so that other people can hopefully go out & find the tracks to buy too.
We need less threads on 'this will be out in 9 months' or 'i heard armin spin it or on gdjb so it has to be tune of the year' cos they degrade the point here |

| On the other hand, if we're gonna force people to wait till the track is out, most of the tunes will be overplayed by the time we are allowed to discuss them, thanks to our promo hungry DJ brigade. |

Then put a thread in Music Discussion or something about it..
The forum title reads RELEASES.. And I don't think it was intended to only mention mp3 tracks ripped by wankers who don't have anything better to do but get off on having the first thread on a new track. |

Errr...how would that solve the problem I mentioned in my post?
edit: Oh I see, but then again that would just make the music discussion even more cluttered than it already is. So then people would start to moan that they should be posted in new releases etc. And quite frankly, I don't really see what the problem is if someone posts a thread about a tune some time before it comes out. It's a nice way to get the heads up on a new tune before it gets played, plus you are informed on where to get it etc. when it actually does arrive. |

It doesn't, I know that :)
But at least it keeps THIS forum free of hyping tracks that are nowhere near to a release. The Music Discussion forum is already full of that , let's keep it there.
You are not going to prevent the hyping (I know), but if it is reduced to only the Music Discussion forum, it's a start. |

Because then you'll keep the hype threads which are also everywhere in Music Discussion, and I think that's not necessary. |

Because if we were to discuss the tunes like we do here in addition to posting new releases for several webshops, we would end up with a thread bigger than NYTAs post padding room. |
