excellent in terms of...not crap!! hehe, u know massive-anything that qualifies as a respectable tune, regardless of orig or remix or melody whatever

and yeah there will be 192mp3s on TA but a label will always want to remaster and change stuff if someone is lucky enough to catch their eye

but lets just get crackin on the tunes and see what happens!

came to think of one thing.... if the CD is going to be send to labels... what's the meaning with having the people that is already signed on the CD????

Not all of the artists themselves (to my knowledge) have been exclusively signed to a label, just their released or soon-to-be released tunes.

Arctic: Im new to the boards (relatively) but not new to producing ;)

Yes, i'm well aware of that. :p I was pointing out that you aren't veterain ta, as I assumed he was suggesting. Regardless, you should be on this, as you're one of the best producers here. (Surprised you don't remember me from sc actually, I did have over 1500 posts there ;))

I remember you from SC:) You're one of the few people who would comment on each of my tracks regularly, haha. You and dj_terror.

If an artist here wants to get signed, why doesn't he just make tracks and send them off to labels that he wants himself? I don't really understand the point of these big "team" efforts that constantly spring up on music forums over the internet: the common things like "all-stars of blah blah blah cd 1," "2002 compilation of blah blah.com," "www.blah blah.com anthems #1." I know they sound cool, and they're exciting, but these things rarely ever succeed. Plus, to look at the technicality of things here: who's going to compile this cd, who's going to make the cd copies, who's going to send them off, who's going to pay for stamps and/or shipping of these cd's? Don't get me wrong, I support things like TA's Unite Part X, but those are just fun projects meant for us and have little promotional purposes. But when a project comes along that tries to involve the supposed "best" producers on the forums and get some of signed, even though these ideas have the best of intentions, they usually end up being a waste of time, hype, and effort. Instead, an artist who is serious about his craft and wishes to be signed is better of concentrating solely on his own work, perfecting it, researching the labels that would best fit him, and ultimately sending a select few tracks to those labels. Just my 2 cents.

Good points, but way I see it is there would be no "team effort." It would be as if you were concentrating on your own work, perfecting it as you said, except instead of sending it off alone, you'd send it to John (who I assume is the one offering to compile the cd and send it off). What this does is gain this forum some respect as far as producers go so there would be potentially more A&R guys browsing through here. More of a promotional thing for the whole site than the individual artists, as i see it, because a lot of the people on that list have releases coming up and would not do this particularly to get signed.
Endre

No hard feelings now anyone but these boards as mentioned should open thier eyes to the new producers here, or members of this site.

Ofcourse it's fun to be in the "elite" or whatever it is and be a veteran of this section/boards but as one of the "elite" you feel kinda bad when these kind of threads show up :/ you think alot of the other hardworking ants around here who worg thier ass of just to get 1 reply. it's a sad story but very true.

cheers.
thx for 2nd  :D place ;)
