Tranceaddict Revolutions Volume 1 (pg. 3)

Yeah I agree Endre, and I do my best to listen to every track on here regardless of who posted it. However, a lot of the so-called hard-working newbies that post tracks here asking for reviews pretty much disappear the second their thread dies, and don't contribute by posting comments on other peoples' threads. There are of course exceptions to this, and I myself am pretty new to this forum of TA so I'm hardly one to be preaching, but I only feel sorry for people who get no replies when they actually put an effort to themselves.
But I digress. I like the idea of this compilation, even if it serves next to no purpose promotionally for me, hehe. |

| Just remember that the CD would be more of a promotion for this site as a source of new talent rather than for the individual producers themselves. |

I remember you from SC:) You're one of the few people who would comment on each of my tracks regularly, haha. You and dj_terror. |
That really was a shame, the other forums were active enough, but after the restructure of the review forums, people seemed to stop commenting. :(
Back to the topic though, agreed, I agree that it would be more of a 'promote tranceaddict.com venture rather than a 'promote an individual artist' thing. That being said, that isn't nesecarrily a bad thing, and an individual track could still be picked up.
For an example, just look at Matti Laanamen. 'I Love You' (Which just so happens to be my favorite track of all time :D) was originally released as a 192 on the internet, and it gained so much support after it did the rounds that it was picked up and released on vinyl. That eventually got him signed to Tsunami, and seems to have also got him regular remix work under the Cosmicman alias. So it IS possible, releasing a 192 on the internet just may get you signed. :p |

Is that not what the Unite mixes are for? I'm failing to see much of a difference apart from full tracks instead of a mix, and only the very elite members of the forum will post.
Or am I missing something else? :conf: |

it's actually the same basiclly, but what jhon means lately, not many "vetrans" posting new tracks..and he trying to boost the forum some spirit by this idea..anyway, one of the people jhon has in the list, i asked him in msn, and he said no he wont be in this idea(i won't mention the name he can do it him self)
my point is, some people just don't have enough time i guess, so maybe this idea will work out or maybe not. |

Come to think of it, you're absolutley right. It is a bit too much like TA Unite. :p |

But that was back then, Mp3 file sharing wasn't so bad back then than it is now. |

Well, it just so happens that Shattered Dreams would never had gotten signed if we hadn't put the mp3 out... ;) |

TA's Unite was originally put up purely for my own selfish intentions. Which means I was extremely bored one day and I just wanted some tracks I could mix for fun and I didn't seem to have any good "professional" ones.
Then somewhere during the process it kinda got a life of it's own and now people assume it was made for promotional purposes alone. |

no this is very different from Unite
for the simple reason that All the tracks will be completed and posted up for everyone to download in full, so we can use them for our own mixes and stuff
Unite is a finished mix that you have to flick through to hear tunes
This is so everyone WHO WANTS TO (Not just 'elite' as they have been dubbed) can Donate a track.
the whole point of this thread was to highlight producers who arent already known as a decent producer on the board, if there is so many good producers out there 'we havent given a chance to'....come on then make a track and make us notice
ps-FRACTAL- i heard that sample of ur tune on T.nu!!!holy god mate that is quality! finish it and get it on here for d/l!!! |
