Do not understand the logic in him winning, Henry should have won! How Ronaldo got up there either is beyond me as Ruud Van Nisteroy(spl) has out performed him in two seasons!
Nominations are from their name themsevles. Beckham has outshone most Real Madrid players this year, and that includes Zidance.
Don't get me wrong though, Zidane is a quality player! |

he's so gifted, we really can't say he doesn't deserve it...
Henry will win it next year ;) |

| Yep, should have been Henry.. Hes been in a world of his own over the last year. OK Zidane is a great player, but i dont think hes been as inspirational on the field this year as Henry. Who were the nominations by the way? |

the way this work is that national coaches send in their reply with points like this.
nr1. zidane (3pts)
nr2. henry (2pts)
nr3. Ronaldo(1pt)
i also think its national games they are allowed too choose from.
anyways yeah henry should have won, but he will win next year. |

it's boring to see the same players nominated every year. I mean they are good and every thing, but it would be nice to see 'not so well know stars' win, like say; Raul or Nedved
or how about some defenders for some change? |

Im not a juvefan or anything, but Nedved really deserved to win it more that anyone and he didn't even get into the top three. Like someone said its all about the big names. Look at Rivaldo, he was among the top 3 for years without performing hardly anything on club level.
No one plays football more beautiful than Zidane, so I guess Im pretty satisfied anyhow. He's one of the best the game has ever seen. |

they are well know, but i believe they don't have the superstar status
how many people you see wearing a Nedved Jersey?
Nedved for example does a good job with Juve, and helped the Czech team reach Euro 2004 without one loss |

Maybe theyre not well known in canada, but they are in the rest of the world.
edit: that sounded a bit harsh sorry. u know what i mean anyway.
Raul is widely regarded as the best striker in the world
Nedved isnt quite as famous i suppose but hes still up there |

both nedved and raul do have superstar status, especially raul, but i don't think many people rate raul as the best striker in the world
and yeah, always the same players gets boring. even if they may deserve it. what suprised me was henry being up there in the vote, never thought he'd be that popular.
and i don't have a clue about who should win it, it's all subjective. |
