lets just say this one more time...YES you can make a supersaw in reason, maybe not with just one synth (but actually you can do that too, malstrom) but you can do it...

remember that a supersaw is simply a couple of saw waveforms that are detuned, add a little whitenoise to that and voilá...supersaw :)

so now I don't wanna hear this any more...aight! ;)

RPS file here

And Moonforce did a pretty good pad too (Malstrom 4 BAR 83-89, just turn of the phaser, sounds way better)Here

And BTW acell, pretty fine melody there. IMO just add some noise to the main synth.

bloody hell. i have never herd such a good sound from reason. good job :)

Ow C'mon dude;)

By the way, I have a Reason file too in which i tried to create the Jp8000/8080 Sound.... With the subtractor, and i like the sound of it!!
If someone could host it, it would be nice. But not until after the weekend, cos first it's ARMIN VAN BUUREN @ OCEANDIVA!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, here's my try. It's 14 stacked Subtractors in reason with detune on them:

Wow – listening to that inspired me to have a play around with Reason to get a similar Rank 1 sound. It wasted the better part of my day, but I had fun! :)

Here's mine- I used 2 subtractors (1 for bass, 1 for the lead), one unison

Reverb/Delay/EQ is done in cubase

I can send you the reason file via email if you'd like :)

To all of thos who say it's impossible...dont't say that. It's really not hard to create a supersaw-like sound. Just use your imagination. Stack a bunch of sawtooth-waveforms and don't forget to detune them.
I did like this:

Open up a mixer in reason. Connect one subtractor to each input on the mixer. Now you have 14 of them.Use the init-setting with one oscilator set to saw.
Let the first one be tuned to 0 cents.
2:nd one tune it up a few cents, 3:d down equal amount and go on with next ten units until you reach about +/-50cents.

Connect the last subtractor to a unison unit and tweak it a bit.
Set the levels on the mixer, you can even pan the channels a bit.

Then i connected the output of the mixer to a reverb and set to about 50/50 mix. The output of the verb is connected to the master, or if you like on the input on another mixer...

Anyway ones again here's my results...sounds ok, doesn't it?

Just remember to keep experimenting. Perhaps you'll tweak the next generation of trend-setting sounds.

Hehe, quite a few notes in that genie melody are wrong. Nice JP-setup though, can be tweaked even more phat though!

And no, making a JP in reason is no way near impossible. You can do anything, its a matter of time and effort, as always!
