| I love rock, all kinds of rock (not as much as trance of course :p). But, Slipknot... that's not music. That makes me want to rip my hair out simply because my ears have been forced to listen to something as horrible as that. |

| Yeah I like Slipknot along with Soulfly, Korn, Godsmack, RATM, Tool etc. Slipknot is hard but not too over the edge. Its like Cannibal Corpse, Dilenger Escape Plan etc that I can't stand, its too meat-headish even for me. :happy2: |

Funny reading some the closed minded posts here.
but yeah these guys give off a lot of energy, including that, "I wanna slit your throat, and f...." song. I listened to their first album but I never followed them. I started getting huooked on trance and started liking the heavier death metal.
oh and the Deftones are way way different. Listen to White Pony and slip knot, or even Adrenaline....way different.
and twoplow, why don't you listen to some good american metal then, check out mutilated.us, it is my bros band. If you want I can setup you up with a song from their demo if you don't want the cd. but they also have links to other great bands, american and european. Check it, you'll be impressed. |

Thank you, Deftones are in great! So unbelievable live, seen them 4 times, great show each time!
Back to the thread, I didnt mind slipknot, I can see how they appeal to a lot of younger kids or "maggots" (as their fans are called). Their music is so angry that it allows those teens something that they can say relates to them. Even though when they get older, they will most likely realise the error behind their logic. . . . |
