when you say 'chill out' do you mean grab drinks?
green room(bloor)/red room (spadina) are good places ppl have mentioned just to go chill. they are cheap and the food isn't bad- service is slow but it doesn't really matter b/c most ppl who go there are more interested in having drinks and socializing.
labrynth aka 'the Lab' is also a good place. it's on brunswick at bloor (near green room). they have cheap martini's wednesday night and cheap drinks on thurdays.
Insomnia is a little nicer place to go for drinks...also in teh annex (on bloor)
there are some really nice places in little italy as well. alto basso (place i had my bday drinks) is really nice (cheap drinks on thsurday b4 10)
a really gorgeous place to get martini's (not cheap) is wild indigo on college. that would be a good place to take a date IMO. |

| if you're looking for something a little more classy, try Lobby on Bloor or Remmys on Yorkville. Awesome drinks and food not so awesome prices tho |
