| i actually went to gatecrasher once and thought the engineers had put the bass too high and the speakers were crackling. thats when u realise uve got too much passion for Djin. i mean, the amount of professionalism in that place and i can cum up with sommat like that! |

there's only one club i go to now
if the music or the mixing is going to be , i just don't go
or if i wind up being dragged to some club i usually wind up getting trashed so i really don't pay attention to the music flow or mixing |

I was laughing when I saw your post, mostly because I get girls coming up to me semi-regularly saying exactly the same thing.
I have this whole quiet, serious look to me, even when I'm having a really good time. People that don't know me very well are often like, "what's wrong man, aren't you having a good time?". :D |

hehe, i know someone who has been spinnin' for quite a long time and i had the 'pleasure' to hear him for the first time last summer at a party... damn did he suck, no beatmatching or whatsoever, changing songs in the middle of climaxes, etc...
anyway, he had 2 techs, rodec mixer, 2 new denon cd player thingies and a load of amplifier power to mess around with... that just ain't fair :)
Anyway, i'm sure we TA's could make the world a better place if we spinned @ parties/clubs ;) |

Recently when I'm out I find myself sitting by a taple sipping a beer, thinking about the horrible job whoever set up the sound system did, how that awful wanker of a dj got a job i would kill for and do 100 times better and vow to never come back. :whip:
Of course next week the same thing happens again.
Some times I've even left early and rushed home to my decks.
This is seriously frustrating, I cant enjoy a night out.
Some woman even came up to me once and said I looked "deeply unhappy".
I told her to off, and kept sipping my beer.
How do you guys cope? |
same to me...i dont even go out to big ordinary party anymore with charts music....it just annoys me so much that i dont have fun and wanna leave early. sometimes i feel that im the chosen one and nobody else is understanding how a real party looks like with good music |

Yup, totally hearing this thread. Although I have to admit that I don't often go clubbing these days as I work between 2 and 4 times a week behind the decks myself.
When I do go clubbing it's usually to see a major name so don't get the same thing too often.
But on the odd occasion it happens, and holy mother of god there are some bad DJs out there. What I usually find even funnier is when they think they are really good.
Cheers

Dude that happens all the time
That's why they invented drugs, after 20 beers you kinda have a great time on everything (okay i make an exception for hiphop & r&b).
Solution is going to a quality club or party but well there you pay a lot more and often have to drive a lot further + not drinking too much cause of the risk of police controls.
Though life we live in :( |

Heh, now that you mention it, I never cared about the music when I was still smoking.
My college has random drug tests though:whip:. wanna know what the first i'm doing when i finish school this summer?

Tell me about it.
Theres this one guy i was watching, he would just slam the cf when he wanted to change songs, and the rest of the time he was holding his left ear to his headphones and nodding his head to the music :eyespop: |

| if i go out to a club and the DJ sucks, i cheer myself up by going home and recording a set that's 100x better :p |
