well for ur questions i really have no detailed answers since i dont live in berlin, i am only their a few times in a year, cauze i few friends are living there...
however if u are this cocksure and willing to move over here! do it! that would be the best, and if u even know people over here, then i see no problem, they will introduce u in "life" here and u have someone to ask stuff n such.
i mean if u read ur posts it sounds like ur dying if u wouldnt move here, so dont die!!!!! :D |

Sorry, but IMO German HipHop's got at least SOME Style - compared to that bitch-ass-shaking-stuff those gangsta-pimps are performing at YOUR country!
It's okay if you don't like it, but I'd be careful with laughing at it. I'd rather say American HipHop's ridiculous.

are you in university? a really good thing for you to do would be to look into university study abroad programmes back in the states. that way you can get student loans maybe even schloarships, which i really lucked out with, and that would help you out for money and stuff. just an option for you.
how long do you plan on staying? if it is longer than 3 months then you will need a residency permit and visa and stuff, which you can then get permission to work legally. then again i am sure you can find some off the books work.
i am currently in a study abroad programme thru a NY university (but i study in the south :()and that has helped a lot. but be prepared b/c there is a lot of paperwork, or that is at least what i have learned. so if you want to get a visa then you MUST prove that you have money to support yourself. i had a few problems getting my visa.
but i am sure there are ways around this ;).

also REALLY prepare yourself for the german language, i find it difficult at times. |

OK, well...I don't listen to that gangsta bull over here in the US. Underground hiphop is ing real. So unless you have the last Talib Kweli album or have heard Eminem and Pharoah Monch freestyle together on Hot 97, then please don't talk about what you don't know. I have several German friends whopp have shown me alot of German music, underground and mainstream. I'm sorry, but it sounds really funny, even after I knew what they were saying. The rhyme patterns just don't work well in many other languages. Sorry.
And yes...I am going to die unless I get out of here. I'm going in nuts. lol
And thanks much for the info on the visa and such. This is the type of stuff I'm looking for. I will be planning on staying for longer than three months, as I'd like to make Europe my new home, rather than America. I really can't stand the "I'm American, off" attitude. I'm a in human, I don't care what country I'm from, I'm from Earth.

Anyone got any info on the underground scene? I know there is quite a bit of Jungle underground in London, is that the closest I've got? |

but the image "i am american so stfu!" that u hate that much is exactly the image u show with ur comments about german hip hop!!!
if u dont know the language how can i say the rhymes etc doesnt fit.
