ofcourse i heared frensh rap n hip hop! and as an open minded mofo i have to say it sounds very fresh! i liked it! they bring feelings in their tracks, noone i know of had the heart to do somthing like this

Holy hell...my bad.:( I didn't mean to start , it was just a comment. I'm one of the most open minded people I've ever met. Yeah, I laughed at it when I heard it but I'm not naive enough to think that the 3 cds I heard are a decent representation of all of Germany!
I must have written thousands of words in this thread and there's drama about one sentence????:conf:

...anyone have any info on hostels? economically, are they more feasable than getting a hotel or an apt for the first month or two of my stay?
...it doesn't matter how many people there are on this forum, I would hope that someone would know something about the underground. If someone was to ask about underground forums in Florida on Tranceaddict I would be able to provide at least 3, and several clubs and parties as well. Am I the only person of the 26,000 TAs that could do this?
...And finally...first and foremost I will need a job. Lets assume that I'm getting a work visa, where would be a good place to start?
I'm not really happy with the response I've gotten so far. with the exception of some very nice people, I've mostly gotten negative responses about my move, which is the opposite of what I was hoping for. Is Germany not the right country for what I'm looking for or what?:( |

I'm sorry for my cynicism...just an observation though...
There are billions and billions of people in this world...80-some-odd-million in Germany...and I have to spend 20 bucks on a book to find out what it's like over there?
Damn I hate our society.

T...I can more tha ing assure you that is not what I've done. I just thought that maybe if the German TAs were as nice as the FLTAs then you guys may could help me out some. But I have found this to not be the case. Instead I have found some very cynical people!:(
If you read the ing thread you will find that I want to go to Berlin because I'd like to go to the SAE Institue in Berlin for Music Production. I was thinking about London, but I wanted something much more different than they are from the US. So I was thinking aMsterdam but was told by many many people and found from my research that that probally wouldn't be the best place for a student and aspiring musician.
After much research on all the various countries in Europe, I finally decided on Germany and thought that Berlin would be a good choice of home cities since it IS the capital.
I just wanted to ask TA's about their comments and thoughts cus I THOUGHT they would have similar mindstates to my own. I wanted to get REAL opinions about this country and not just the pre-formated ones I have already read off various info sites.
And as far as calling me a crazy American...I've said it before and I'll say it again...I am not a republican or christian or demorcrat or american or caucasion....I AM A ING HUMAN BEING...
I'm so ing sorry if I want to experience something new. Damn people. Maybe I'll try something else if all of Germany has the mindstate I've receive from my fellow TAs!!!:( :( :( |

as a matter of fact, the whole german music industry tries to gather in berlin nowadays [e.g. the larger labels]and berlin would be the top choice in europe.

Thank an open-minded person for his open-minded thoughts => but do it by insulting the guys who tried for real in first place :whip: :whip:
So get a better try somewhere else, if you find some, let me know.
BTW: I like the DAMN PEOPLE - Part best.

So does that mean I can't try to do what you all want to try to do? I'm not trying to over run your country or anything, I think that you guys are much better people on a whole, thats why I want to go over there! Just saying that I want to leave the US to go over there is a compliment!

Now why would I insult those who tried to help? I wasn't trying to insult anyone, just observe...but if insults came out they are only directed at people like T, who don't read the thread before directing insults at me. Thank you.
I would think that you people would realize that if I want to move over there WITH you then I obviously didn't have anything against you! And I obviously have done my research...I'm online daily for hours trying to learn the language and the culture, but I thought I'd ask people who I thought would be like me for their personal opinions! Sorry if I somehow offended all the GTAs by wanting to become one!
