| actually I was talking to the f00 who claimed americans invented everything really. Underground and Mainstream can be debated forever but their is no REAL ANSWER because it's opinion. The americans invented music has facts, I asked some house legends on a few different conversations and they said they took influence from the Germans. Then again, I doubt any place can claim they invented anything because people always take ideas from others. |

ok now calm down you have already proved a valid point. it was never my intention to claim that EDM was invented soley by americans, my point was clearly a general one in which most early house and techno records came from the US. you have said yourself, this whole thing can go full circle ie. with influences, intruments and machinery etc. honestly, there is no need for the anti american rhetoric. reading my statement over, maybe my choice of words like "totally" gave you or anybody else the wrong impression. from there i claim my mistakes |

Well media does play mainstream crap ,and people on radio, and music magazin call that techno, thats why many people think techno sux, becouse they hear all those stupid songs. If the media would play decent dance music on radio , maybe some people would like it becouse its good and not becouse its "cool to like it"
You cant say every single people would like trance becouse "its cool to like it "
You dont like it becouse its cool, so many all the trance addict, you like it becous you love the music.So im sure there would be many people who would think just like you about real trance |

ok, lol, this is funny. wait let me think. alrite i got it:
you say that people think techno sucks because they hear all those stupid songs. Umm...maybe those songs you think are stupid, some people around the US actually like because they took a britanny spears sound and sped it up with some dance beats. They like it because they're turning pop into a dancier version. It's not true that they DOn'T like it. Many people have been telling me that they love the "techno" music that has been playing on the radio saturday nights. WHY? umm...maybe because it's what they like, but only with this dancable beat. It's some rap song, or pop, or what not. People say what they mean to be electronica sucks, not because of the music on the radio, but because they don't even know what they're talking about to begin with when they call it "techno". uhm...techno and trance are 2 diff. subgenres of electronica. They would not like it because it is emerging. it is not what generations after generations have been hearing. This is not the sound of america. I like it because i'm euro and asian, and what else should i say than that's how i live? You can't "bring me into it" lol....There may be many people that would like it. But to defend the point the nation should give it a chance is not a strong one. It would not last. |
