OMFG
What a ing great night that was!!!!!! I say this with all honesty, that is the most fun I have had at Glow in a LONG LONG TIME. All this year I have been going to Glow almost every other week, and I can say that for the most part, I didn't have a whole lot of fun. But last night, everything was great, and I finally started getting that happy euphoric feeling that I used to get when I first started going to Glow in 2002.
aight, I'm gonna post the tracklist first and then make another post for reviewish stuff.

like I said before, I had more fun last night than I have had at Glow in a LONG time. Everything just flowed great. There was a really good vibe the entire night, I could feel it from the moment I stepped in the doors.
Ferry was absolutley bangin, his set was packed with energy and I enjoyed every moment of it. I'm not into trance much these days, but something about how Ferry threw it down last night just made me go "wow!". That was probably the best preformance from a Trance DJ I've seen in a while.
A few tunes of the night for me were: Right of Way -- wow! this song is ign incredible (though it does sort of jack bits from Vitalic - le rock). This was the first time I've heard it live, and actually the first time I'd heard the whole song, I loved it. Definaly should've been in the running for Tune of the Year. And then ofcourse the classics; System F - Cry & Out of the Blue, plus Barber's Adagio....I died. Definatley was dancing the whole night.
Funniest moment: Ferry on the mic to give props to Pete (in broken english)
Ferry: "Yo! Whas your name?"
Crowd: "uhh....eh?? Um...Ferry?! [various names shouted]"
Ferry:"NO YOU FOOLS! Not your personal name, the name of this club!"
etc etc...I was laughing my ass off :haha: :haha: :haha:
seriously though, thanks for the great preformance, and indeed, thankyou to Pete for bringing us such spectacular events through the years, and hopefully years to come.
mmh...It was also great seeing all the familiar faces there. With a few exceptions (Ryan/Mebot) I saw almost all the Glow regulars and Glowboard members and TA members (DCTA's mainly). Ryan A, Yujie, Brian T, Dave, Justin, Aaron, Erin, Liz, Josie, Amanda, Nathalie & her funny ass man (forgot his name...OI! OI! OI IN OI!), Ian, Jose G, Mario, Joel, Alli, Rob, the other Rob, Sergio, Frank, Peter...um, Im forgetting a lot of names here, but it felt like old times again, it was really cool. :)
there was even a JDat look-alike (2002 version w/ dreads) in front of me & Ryan :stongue:
I'm thinking I'm just gonna take a nice long break from clubs until Glow re-opens in March. I can't wait for that!
See you all there!
peaCE!

I'm pretty sure one of IDs is Solar Factor - Fashion Slam. Was played when he was spinning a lot of electro trance. |

| Words cannot explain my last experience @ Glow/Insomnia. I am really going to miss that place and 90% of the reason why is because of last night. Ferry threw down the BEST trance set i have heard since PVD @ Giant NYE 2002. His set was a great mix of epic tracks and hard banggin techno:crazy: I knew the night would be awesome from the time i set foot inside Glow. Had no problems with the media pass this time and got right in with no questions asked (thanks to Jimmy) Ta's were there in full effect. Frank, Mustafa, Sky, Amy, Joanna, Nathalie and BF, Adam, Reuben, Ryan, yujie, Jose, Jose G, David, djinferno, Aaron (good luck in iraq bro!!!) Erin, Liz and her bf, Sammy and friends, Ian, Josy, Peter, Mike, and anybody else i forgot. Ill get those pics posted on Trance365.com asap......and me and Jose G are working on a little something extra for you all;) |
