There couldn't have been a better way to mark the end of Glow at Insomnia! Ferry Corsten was the first DJ I went to see at Glow in November 2001, after hearing Ferry's remix of Apoptygma Berzerk - Kathy's Song. I never missed out on any of his sets at Glow ever since...and I've never been disappointed by Ferry!
Pete Moutso played one of his best sets ever! I was fascinated by one track that had female vocals in Arabic. Wonder what that was. It was great hearing Pete drop some other great tracks (Portishead - Roads) from this year!
What can I say about Ferry? Wow! Ferry Corsten rocked Glow like never before! Hearing BBE - Seven Days & One Week brought a big smile to my face...hadn't heard that one in awhile! I couldn't believe it when Ferry Corsten threw down Indigo, Out Of The Blue, and Pocket Damage back to back! Hearing Punk sent me running from the upstairs lounge...I can never get enough of Punk! Better yet was hearing Rock Your Body Rock after Punk...I couldn't have been happier! I loved Right Of Way and the two other tracks from the new album! I got a big kick out of Ferry's and Pete's tag team set! Tribal Shock, Murder Was The Bass, and Traffic...back to back...that was sick! Could it possibly been any better? I just about died when Ferry threw down Adagio For Strings! Last but not least...Ferry Corsten coming out of the DJ booth and partying with the crowd! Ferry is a star!
It was hands down the best night at Glow ever...at least for me! Many thanks to Pete and the rest of the Glow crew!
Shoutouts to Brian T., Sammy and his crew, Beema, Ryan, Jose G., Justin, Joel, David, Josy, Bzy, Sergio (you lush!), Cory and Tippy, Janette and Amy (your tattoos rock!), Joanna, Kasper, Gqntrance (wow...what a surprise!), Mustafa, Alex, Oakie-Fan, Robin, Steve P., Adam, Aaron, Erin, Liz, Jessica and Scotty, Nathalie (great meeting you!), Ian and Wally! It was great seeing you all!
