| Avalon is taking over the states for sure, they just opened up the biggest club in NYC and i'm from boston so i know about their huge venue there... i think they are trying to nationalize like Spundae. |

Hi guys,
I am confused. Is Avalon the new name for the Palace? Also is there more than one Spundae? I've heard of Spundaes in other cities, are they all the same owner?

Spundae is a promoter, not a club - Spundae holds their events in many different cities all over the country (SF, LA, Houston, Chicago, Vegas, etc...)
And yes, Avalon was formerly the Palace, and it's soundsystem KICKS ASS!!! |

I _hate_ when people refer to Spundae as being a club. What irritates me more is when DJs do it, "I played at Club Spundae this past weekend" ... arrghhh. Way too many people do this and it causes confusion.
Anyhow, as Cooky said...Spundae is a promoter, based here in San Francisco and have weekly events in Chicago (Saturdays), Las Vegas (Thursdays), Houston (no night solid yet - relocating to a different club), Los Angeles (Saturdays), and, of course, San Francisco (Fridays).
Spundae also holds special events in Miami pretty often, occasionally in other cities, and in all their regular cities from time to time (when they hold events on non-regular Spundae nights and usually at a different club than normal). And it co-sponsers the popular PlayStation 2 Dual Play Tour with House of Blues. I believe Spundae handles the promotion and stuff in cities where the tour stops and there are no actual House of Blues. |
