| ok i was going to leave it at that but no now, firstly i wrote the first one, pressed send and decided against it, pressed stop and wrote the current one, then erased the other one, which u replied no, and a bunch of horse? WHO MADE IT? i think we have better things to do then dig up all the iq tests of our country and ur saying ur table is wrong? if the worlds "powerfulliest" country cant add numbers proberly? god help us all... |

Just thought I'd point out that there is no one, single, official, standardised IQ test. There's (potentially) hundereds of them, each with their own ranking system. Thus a score of 182 on one test may be the equivalent of 130 or something on another one. So Bill Clinton may well have acheived a score of 182 on an IQ test - but it doesn't mean that he's twice as smart as George Dubya because George may have sat a completely different standard of test with a lower grading system.
Geddit like?
(PS: I agree, George Bush is a dumb twat regardless of which IQ test he sat.) |

No. Mensa is a community in which the only people allowed in is the ones with a higher IQ than 98 % of the population of the world. For testing this they have devised their own test which they use on people seeking admittance. According to the people I know who actually attends the meetings all they do is play boardgames, discuss philosphy/society in a very casual atmosphere. So I can't figure out why anyone intelligent would want to pay a subscription fee for this...
On the point of statistically saying Clinton would belong to one in two americans, you need to consider more than a normal distribution with mean 100. First of all Clinton is from north america, he's white, male and comes from a socialy stable environment - all factors that *statistically* results in a higher IQ. Probably pushing the mean a good 10-20 points up. Ofcourse this also means that Bush' score looks less impressive. |
