You're not doing your crunches correctly if you're doing 500. :) Make sure you focus more on the quality of each crunch, rather than the amount you do. Then again I doubt you want rock hard abs, so it's not a big deal, lol. |

I took a boot camp aerobics class for years... I know how to do 'em :) It's just habit to do 500. I don't *always* do them everyday, I've slacked since I haven't been home this past week. *sheepish* I'll probably do them tonight though bc I thought about it. I only do so many crunches to keep my stomach in shape. Can't have rolls. :whip: |

whether you have rolls or not depends on your bodyfat percentage and diet, not necessarily how many crunches you do. you can do crunches till your blue in the face but if your bodyfat isnt low enough, youll never see your abs for example. crunches and situps will just strengthen abdominal muscles. 500 crunches is a LOT. |

There's a pic of me up in COR. You can look at it yourself and judge. Simply, it's done out of habit. It's not a lot when you've been doing it since Freshman Year of High School because you were the best on the varsity swim team :) |

One whole mile, pffft.
Right now I'm not doing much of anything because it's christmas break and I can't get to a gym anywhere, but during the semester my workout usually includes about an hour of arms monday wednesday friday and running whenever the hell I feel like it, usually about 5 days a week averaging about 5 miles a day in distance. Running isn't like lifting though, if you're legs are in fairly good shape you can do it pretty much every day and not worry, unlike lifting which you should either space out or alternate between legs/arms (though I don't recommend lifting with your legs if you are trying to be a distance runner or anything along those lines, muscle just slows you down). I also try to go to a powerabs aerobics class 3 times a week and if I feel bored in my dorm sometimes I'll just do push ups and aerobics to techno :).
As for your routine, I suggest you eat more and do more aerobic exersizes to cancel it out (running, swimming, aerobics in general). Your body needs a lot more food than that to build muscle, and you'll be alot better off if you just go for a higher metabolism and more food than less. I could tell you alot more if I knew exactly what you were going for, like if you wanted to bulk up or just go for low weight-high muscle density or something like that. |

My whole goal is not to become the next butch looking chick . It's to keep in shape. I'm not trying to build up massive muscles or strength, simply to stay healthy and keep a figure that pleases me. (Which it still doesn't, but whatever :p)
Not everyone works out to become the next Miss USA bodybuilder. |
