The problem with candy kids is they all look retarted, they are all ugly, i've seen some raver girls, and damn, they are uglier then your average fat ass girl in highschool, and to top it all off, they wear old and ripped clothing, baggy clothing and everything else that makes them ugly and unattractive, and the pacifiers dont help a bit!
good thing I dont see them in club, reason being they dont have enoght cash for booze, they spend it all on drugs! lol |
you are a fool.
as far as i'm concerned, the whole idea of the club scene is that you can dress how you like and dance how you like and nobody should care. personally, i go dressed cyber to clubs (candy kid as you call it in america), because its fun! whats wrong with doing something thats fun? i'm not an ugly person (thats not really for me to say, but i'm not) and i don't look retarded! another thing, you buy booze when you go to a trance club? or are you on about ty little clubs that let anyone over the age of 14 in?! "they spend it all on drugs"... hahaha! if i go out to get pissed i can spend £30 no problem. if i buy drugs, guess how much i spend? £10. thats 3 pills. get your facts straight.
don't mock someone for the way they look, thats as bad as racism

Candy Kids are kinda cool... they make me smyle when I see them...
So what if they dress different, if they are young (i'm young too)?!?! what have they done to you to hate them???
As I see it, they add color to the rave... they make it fun! |

spot on m8!! :D:D:D
but I think that mabye candy kids (US) and cyber kids (UK) are quite different and there's bit of confusion over it... if you americans/canadians wanna see how we do it in the UK, goto www.cyberdog.net and look in the virtual shop. this is the kind of thing RR is on about ;) |

A few of you in here have your heads on straight, stay that way, open-minded is the way to be.
It's funny really, when someone makes a post-about drugs, and there is a few people who say, drugs are stupid, bad, retarded, etc. Everyone jumps all over them like crazy...with the "you're not open minded" crap.
Yet, when it deals with a type of person...closed-mindedness seems to rule alot of the people in this forum.
Sucks to be them, I suppose. |

I have to admit that as this thread had continued I've become dissapointed at some of the reactions of some of the posts. I can respect other people's view's but some of the term's people are using bug me like ie...I "hate" those kids. What a waste of an emotion hate is...... One of the thing's that drew me to rave's(other than the tunes) was the attitude of acceptance.....Now I sure know the drugs have something to do with that feeling but why as we lose our "innocence" in the scene to we have to become ignorant of other peoples taste's and desires. I for one don't give a if you dress up, dress down,Take off your shirt, do what ever......Just like I don't care if your asian, black, Indian, purple what ever. it's so frustrating to me that we sit there and judge other people instead of just dancing and feeling good. I've never had a candy kid come up to me and say join our little cult, they do there own thing and so should you.
Why is it sooooo hard for us just to accept each other for who we are :conf: :conf: :conf: :conf: :conf: :conf: :conf: :conf: |

Okaaay! I just loved that response I never imagined such responses from so may different people. Weird thing that here in Mexico things are kinda different but somehow the same, I wear bright colored things to raves, and baggy pants (comfy is the word) as i said i eat candy because of the sugar, but instead of the pacifier I chew gum, and I love doin' stuff with glowsticks too. and people (at least here) does not care much. |

| mmm, never saw a candy kid here in Holland... shame. You see at goa'/psy trance parties though colourful people, fluo-clothes and stuff. What's wrong with colours in your life? And one thing I don't understand... I saw this Moroccon guy in a thread at the Holland forum, asking why people have problems with Moroccons. Maybe the answer is 'the same as why HE has problems with candy kids': ignorance is the reason to hate. People don't bother to get to know the group they're hating, because if they do, they don't have anything left to hate (how frustrating, because then you can't take it out anymore on other people, and then you have yo look at yourself). Apparently it's very difficult to look further than looks, what a shame.... would be so much better to blindfold those people for a day and let them talk to the people they say they hate without saying who or what they are. Maybe then those ignorant people start to think about what they're doing wrong... |

Eye-Riz......where have you been all the time!!!!!!!
Your post is so.....right! God I need you @ the Holland Forum!!! :D
Anywayz....the types that you peeps call Candy Kids, remind me of a group here in Holland that we call Hippies...they are also very childish, very young in their behaviour....they annoy me too, but I wouldn't say I hated them..it's just their way of expressing their need to be part of something :)
O and btw.....these so called Hippies are kids that listen to grunge/punk that sort of music, not trance.. :)
They are the new Woodstock Generation: Make Love, Not War haha
I'm chill....let them beeeeeeeee :D |
