alexander and his father were greeks...alexander never conquered "greece" as you said.the monuments of his palace are in greece and his fathers tomb is in greece..and guess what...i can read everything that its written on the monuments coz its ancient greek.
tha part that you are referring as macedonia was named like that (although the proper name is FYROM ) after your country was named croatia..and skopje of course....it was yugoslavia
the part that begins above larisa extends near ioannina on the east near kavala on the west and till the northern greek boarder is macedonia
everything that its referred as macedonia in ancient history has to with this part of greece.
your alphabet (and in fact all cyrilik/slavic based languages) were made by kirilos and methodios (i dont know how to call them in your language but u will know them)

after the battle of the "granikos" river near the city of troy alexander the great after he took the weapons off achileus's tomb he encountered an army of 40000 persians and destroyed them.from the loot of this battle he had sent 300 full armors to the parthenon in athens with this saying on them: "Αλέξανδρος Φιλίπου και Έλληνες, πλην Λακεδαιμονίων, από των βαρβάρων των την Ασίαν οικούντων"

in english: "alexander ,son of philip and greeks exluding the spartans from the barbarians and the people who live in asia"
this was a custom after each battle to give gifts
and of course the macedonians in ancient greece could participate in the olympic games...thing that only greeks could do it (in ancient greece those who werent greeks were called barbarians)

it had the bones of philip and his wife inside.

Who cares though? If Mongolia decided to call itself Ancient Rus', and call Mongolian ancient Russian, I wouldn't give a . As long as everyone accepted it, that's what I'd call it too, if someone else acts stupidly it doesn't affect me at all.

Well I guess you're very easily offended. I wasn't talking about the superiority of one language over another. I was talking about the natural reaction to hearing a language that is similar to your own, and yet so different. It makes it sound like the person is speaking your language but purposely ing it up so you can't understand lol. I admitted that the case would be reversed for a native speaker of another Slavic language when s/he hears Russian. So clearly its not a point about linguistic superiority/inferiority. Drug_Tito didn't seem offended and agreed with me.
