Sorry, but under the DJ booth where the main bar is will be amongst the worst frequency response in the club as it's all geared toward the centre of the room. You shouldn't be expecting good sound if you're behind a speaker. Only bass.
On-line (IE. dance floor) response = good.
Off-line (IE. any corner) response = e.

PS. Your 1st post on this topic was good.
PSS. Toronto has way too many clubs for them all to make it regardless of if they were 'perfectly' good. |

I know someone who used to promote there on fridays as well (now promotes for boa) and he was always at system on fridays b/c he didn't like the clientele at Lotus. that place sucked so bad, that free cover and drinks didn't make up for it. I didn't like the vibe there b/c the ppl weren't there for the music, they were there to be 'seen.' I like a crowd that is so into the music that you feel a sense of comradery and understanding w/ other patrons.
also i can vouch for the fact that techno addict doesn't promote there. i know 2 promoters there (and not of teh flyer monkey variety) |

And not only all those things but the design of the inside of the club. The DJ booth and the walk to the bar in front of it. Who would have thought of that was probably not thinking that people would ever be dancing at this venue.
Plus, it was probably the worse bunch of people (other the the ones I knew there) in terms of being perverted losers that try to grab girls as they walk by. |

Phazon is synomous with rocking sound system. The only clubs that don't have one that have rocking sound are Giant in LA and CrobarNYC, and they had theirs built custom by stereophile experts (Martin Logan, I think).
The guv has awesome sound! :D

this is a quality sound system. you can say what you want about the clientele and vibe of guv, but their sound system is excellant. i constantly hear ppl saying, I have the guv, but i love to hear *fill name of dj here* on the phazon. |

hmmm does anyone know who did stereo's (montreal) sound? as i have mentioned, that is the best sound i've ever heard. |

I wish I knew! Maybe it's a canadian company. Canada makes some of the best audiophile equipment around Having the national audioacoustics lab helps your industrie a lot :D
I made a bobo - CrobarNYC is phazon. So it's probably only Giant that's custom (that I know of) Augh, NewYear's recovery.... ;)

the only thing i know about it is that apparently the sound there is analog rather than digital (like phazon). I think matt said that the sound was done by ppl that had before stereo been putting togeher sound systems for outdorr festivals and whatnot. |

Dance IS really popular in TO. The biggest club in the city plays it in their main room every Sat. night (The Guv). |
