| not exactly sure but aint it got something to do with the needle picking up vibrations from the grooves in the vinyl |

| In a nut shell: Record has a grove cut into it. Needle sits in this grove and vibrates as it passes over the grove. This vibration in the needle wiggles a magnet which creates an electrical current in the carts wiring. The current travels through the wiring of the cart and deck. After that it goes to the mixer, through the mixer to the amp which pushes it out of the speaker and to your ear. |

id love to know how they actually cut the vinyls.imagine if u had the gear to do it yourself,you could put any tune u had onto vinyl!
