Gayass MP3/CD player

So anyway, I'm shopping for a new CD/MP3 player, I check out selection at some shops around here, and end up getting this one from Panasonic for about 200 CAD, saving 35 thanks for a sale they were having.

SL-CT800

I get home, open it up, and what do I find?

A player that, while visually appealing, slim and lightweight with a remote and rechargable batteries,

1. Does NOT, in any shape or form, support the fastforwarding or rewinding of MP3 tracks.
2. Between the unit and the remote has only ONE pause button. And it's sure as hell not on the remote!
3. Does not allow you the choice of which batteries you want to use, meaning that if youre walking to school or gym with a bag and you want to connect a couple of AAs in the provided dildo-shaped adaptor to save the rechargable batteries for the evening when you go out without a bag on you, you CAN'T. Well, maybe if you take out the rechargable batteries first(should have tried that), but you would have to dig them out the compartment that opens up inside the player, and that's bull.

Anyway, I'm just frustrated I can't find a decent CD/MP3 player. I've heard some good things about the Rio Volt and the iRiver, though. Are those worth it? I don't really want to shell out on an overpriced Sony here....help me out here

Sorry but did you research it at all before buying it cuz thats a whole list of bad things about it that I'm sure you could have found out about beforehand. Plus if you did a search on here there's plenty of threads about mp3-cd players.

For great MP3 CD players, try the Iriver SlimX series. I had the iMP-350 before my Ipod, and it was great. I hear the 550 is even better.

You can always trust a Sony Walkman ;)

My D-CJ501 doesn't have a remote but everything else in it is great.

i've got the D-NE1 Sony MP3 Walkman, and it pretty much does everything...i now wish i hadn't got it, as the Mini iPod is ocming out soon and is only 20-30 pounds more expensive!

Same case here, except I returned the SlimX before getting the iPod. But yeah, it's a good MP3/CD player.
