I figured this would be the case, but then I heard them at Aria together last May long weekend, and was disappointed in both. Perhaps it was my mindset, perhaps it was that I knew Barbara could do better, who knows.
Christian has the ability to bore me or blow me away.
Andy - I'm not sure I would want to hear an 8 hr set from Barbara at Boa....as much as I love them (heard her do extended sets twice), it's really a Montreal thing! It's that special event that happens only once a year, in her hometown, with her homecrowd, on her birthday.
But, of course, I'd go hear her anywhere in the city. |
