Ok, now I'M gonna have to step in here....
Buddhistics - you have every right to express your opinion, and yes, it was wrong of everyone to question your opinions, but you really shouldn't attack everyone that questions you. Nobody attacked you, people just asked questions as to *why* you had those opinions.... I honestly think that your rebuttal wasn't necessary, especially since you weren't following your own advice, about these being "internet forums after all...." This is the stuff that goes on daily here, you just have to get used to tolerating it.
Everyone Else - You guys don't need to stand up for yourselves here... we all know who the real man is... the one who walks away..
But no harm done, lets just forget about it, and move on.
Honestly, i don't like Ferry, PvD, or Tiesto... but its not because i think they "suck", b/c i don't... they are good at what they do, i just don't prefer their music style. Maybe its your choice of words that offends people Buddhistics?
Anyways, you guys wanna talk about e DJ's, how about Rick D's and his weekly top 40 across national radio.... now THAT is crap!

I guess I let the secret out....
Don't get me wrong, I think PvD, Tiesto, and Ferry are great DJ's, I am just tired of that kind of trance... (hey, its good stuff, that's how I got INTO trance in the first place....)
I still download all their sets, listen to their music, and buy the vinyl to keep up to date, its just not the first CD I'd want to pop into my player in the morning, if ya know what I mean!
What do I like? heheh, Patticus ya got me. I like the hard . Not "cheese" hard trance which is what i consider most of what the "hard trance" addicts post on here... All the respect in the world to Phanta C, but in my opinion the trance he posts as "hard trance" I consider "Chicago trance" (they have their own "hard" scene there). Kinda different than what I like...
I like BXR stuff... I guess you can say I've evolved, much like....Oakenfold? LoL....
We all go through phases of what kinds of music we like, and I have just progressed.... Although I'm sure I will jump back into uplifting (or "trance") trance eventually.
I still enjoy PvD at Gallery Turnmills, Tiesto at Energy 2K, Jules @ Qontact, Marco V @ Qontact & Mysteryland.... but my ears are with Picotto!

yep, verminator, this is the case! What i was saying was that i DON'T consider it "hard trance" like others on these boards call it. I call it Progressive Techno (because that is what Gary D. calls it, Mauro Picotto calls it, and Marco V. calls it...)
There is a LOT of misnaming of genre's, but its nobody's fault, as there hasn't been a clear set of boundaries laid down by any official "Trance Council" or anything... lol...
Patticus, we all go through phases of kinds of music we like. No doubt that techno in general is here to stay for me, but each year I like a different genre of techno... funny how that happens. Of course, I still love to pop in old Oakie '99 mixes and PvD from '99 mixes every now and then and relive the "old" days!

Just to clarify,
I didnt enjoy wasting energy over that retard.....I dont like oakenfold anymore but Ferry..hmm that is a stupid question to ask...so many tell me Ferry is but I guess there are quite a few out there who dont know what the f*** they are talking about |
