No doubt:MARK SPOON.It's just unbelievable that this guy makes a livin with dj-ing.He's probably the worst dj in the fokkin' world.Last year @ Trance Energy he wasn't even mixin.just in a sudden he just *BAM* throws in another song.really unexpected.I just hate it that a guy like him makes his money with this while other people can mix waaaaay better.**YUK**

Ummm.....hello.....simply playing one track after another using only the fade in/out controls is NOT DJ'ing!
...and this applies to his livesets as well. Granted, he does play some energetic, euphoric stuff - but it's all the same and I can't listen to it for more than 20-30 minutes.....just makes me sick.
PVD, Nick Warren, Digweed,......now THOSE guys I can listen to live for hours and hours!

only using the fade in/out controls??? are u sure u know what they are?? I personally don't like ferry corsten either coz I don't like his (music)style but what you are saying about only using the fade in/out is complete bull!! As if PVD only does tricks, scratching, backspins etc etc. |

in my view ferry corsten is the best trance composer out there, I haven't heard a single track by any other artist which has the same attention to detail as ferry has in almost all his tracks.
Sure there is a lot of great artists out there.. I obviously like other artists too (just check my sig), but there is something about his music which puts it above everything else.
Just so you dont bag me too much, my favourite track at the moment is not by ferry :D |
