regarding airbase

hi guys,
listen did anyone hear about a new project by Airbase called "One Man Army" ??? i heard it's different than his regular stuff until now
when will it be released?
and btw what do you think about the new Airbase project J. ???
i mean i'm a huge Airbase fan and i heard both i scream & breaking the silence and in my opinion they are ok, but his earlier tracks are much better !!!
i hope he won't transfer totally to that new style...
what do you think ? |

Hello there :)
One Man Army is indeed a new project of mine, signed to J00F Recordings. First release is called The Anthem. This is more proggy and chilled than my usual stuff.
The idea with J is to bring out more odd kind of tracks, which leans to the more clubby side of trance.
I am not leaving the old style of mine, I just think the supersaw riff trance ala 99-00 is a bit squeesed out at the moment, and I really like to try new things. It all differs from month to month, I just produce what I like.
But you shouldnt be worried, I will get back there soon enough! Right now Im working on a new Airbase single. Lets see how that one turns out! |

It seems like trance is more going into the direction of Motorcycles and Andarin. Referring to TA track of the year 2003. Think more producers will do that this year.
But I hope we get some great tracks from the old airbase style too, I really like that. Can't wait.... |

can you give us some info. about releasing dates and such ???

| Pls tell me when Mono - Rise is coming out, i thought it was the arse-end of last year but I have still yet to see it on either juno or chemical. I need to feel the plastic! :p |

I think IMO that mono-rise was a rushed job...cuase when he made ralfie b vs airbase - massive rise..NOW THAT IS A AWESOME TRACK...since it was a bootleg...he prob just rushed mono - rise...the bootleg is sooo musch better... |

various styles = various pleasures, various moods, & more chances to be appreciated i guess.
that's all good. I love the J stuff, it's darker but still quality stuff.
Right about the uplifting 99 sound, it's getting really hard to make a track of that style popular these days... just this Angel track is the evidence, it was so awesome, really thought it was gonna get a huge success...
anyways of your stuff this is still what i appreciate the most, so hope you'll leave all the doors opened as you're doing atm.
about Rise, the track is great, and i'm curious to hear how darren tate worked on the track.
