Many Montreal clubs, not just Aria, are guilty of booking the same names month after month, and not bringing in new blood.. I can see their point, obviously as a business, the good ol' BLING BLING factor$ in. So where is the motivation to try something new and potentially risky, when you can go with something that is proven to draw a crowd?
I must say, props to JF for booking Jeff Mills, that will be a night for the books.. but yeah, Mauro will have played now 3 times within the last 8-9 months... a wee bit of overkill if you ask me. meh. |

= not trance marco is really hard, when I saw him it was closer to techno, tiesto is prog now, and Armin even plays really proggy, in montreal,
Ya I know you are trying, and I appreciate it, I just wish there were more djs, perhaps ones like Rank 1, or Steve Murano, other trance djs,.
I remember there was some discussion about maybe opening the club up on a Thursday or Sunday for Tranceaddict djs, any chance of trying this out JF? I think it could be a lot of fun |

We are working on our friday & saturday night at the moment and on the renovations of the club.
P.S. If you consider Tiësto and Armin not trance dj's, I don't know what is trance now. It's not because Tiësto play a couple of proggy tracks that is not playing mostly trance. |

Tiesto plays much more prog now than trance, esp in Montreal, and Armin plays alot harder in montreal than most places
But I do appreciate Aria, totally, its the only reason i come to Montreal (for the most part), and you're right zing, I only may come to 5% of the shows, but keep in mind, everytime I come down it costs me over 100$ just for the night, expensive for a student, just imagine if I had drug habits on top of that! I'd come to more if they were Trance ;) |
