Kitten emergency - Need help!

My cat just gave birth to 4 babies yeeeeeeey. That's the god news.
The bad news is they're right under my bed. :D The mother won't leave them and I just can't have em all under there. It's quite comfortable and all but I still prefare to take them out in the laundry where I've made them a nice soft place. I mean what if they start pooping all over the place? that's not gonna be good! :toothless
Now here is the question. She only gave birth about 5 hours ago. Can I move the kittens there now or do I have to leave them where they are? Please help me out with this. I havn't got any experience with newly born kittens and have no idea what to do. |

when my dog had puppies, we werent expecting them, she had them under the side board, so we had to move them straight away but to a close place (literally 10ft) to the cupboard under the stairs, where we then left them.
Either you move them as soon as, but make sure that
a) she's not going to have any more kittens during the move (animals may give birth over several hours to their litter)
b) if you are moving them make sure the mum know where the babies are, and that she trusts you to move them (use ur animal intuition with ur pet here) coz she may turn very protective if you take one out the room, here i suggest moving them all at once in a box with the mom there too
c) if there is sumthing under the bed that the mum has used for bedding take that too, this ensure the babies and mumma have the least ammount of change in environment so as not to distress any of the family.
or you can leave them until they are bigger but this should really be a few weeks i.e when they have their eyes open and are more explorative

Thanks for the help. I think I'll give em till tomorrow and then move em out.
The colours are Orange, Two Black and a Grey one.
The orange one's a real fighter. It climes over everyone to get to the good stuff first. Think I'll keep that one. Maybe I can teach it to attack people. Then I'll keep it up front for Mormons! :toothless

Oh my god, cuteness overload! :crazy: :crazy: :crazy: I did have an ickle kitten once (now that's an ambigious statement), but he barely made it to a year old before he got run over. :sadgreen: How many of the little guys are you going to keep, if any?
