I never smoked in my life. Im very glad i never picked up the horrible bad habbit. Its seriously a major turn off when i see chicks smoking. Not only is it horrible for your health, but who the hell wants to kiss somebody when their mouth tastes like a ashtray. Biting my finder nails is about the only bad habbit i have (Im trying to quit).......well that and burning a hole in my pocket (working on that too.) |
^^^ yea, what he said. :toothless
im just torn on the issue of smoking in clubs bc well, it's a personal right: if you wanna shorten your life span, make your healthy lungs black and stink like hell, well , you should be allowed to do so hehe :) but i absolutely love this law bc i hate 2nd hand smoke, and i hate how much gunk i used to get under my fingernails (clubfunk we used to call it lol) and how my hair used to stink like hell everytime i left the club... now it never stinks :) i personally didnt see anyone but jay with a cig in his hand @ avalon yesterday, my hair didnt stink, woot!! :D |

No, it just pisses them off...people aren't going to stop going out, maybe go out less but clubs and stuff will still have lots of people in them. |

| the law! I'll always light up a cig at a bar or club and if they ask me to put it out i pretend im foreign. it works like a charm, and is a benefit of livin in a cosmopolitan place like new york and speaking a second language. even if I get a few drags in, that's all I need. In a club, forget about it---i still smoke as much as i used to im just a bit more discreet i guess. Avalon and Crobar, they dont even care! |

like evs was saying crobar and avalon don't care and so does lotus apparently..i was there thursday and people were smoking left and right. the bouncers didn't even care!
personally, i mean smoking is a bad habbit but the non smokers should not preach to us. we get it as bad in the first place already. its not your lungs its ours.:D
i really don't like the fact that some people in this post are talking .....i know some of you do drugs, do you hear me preaching and bitching about it?
thanks |

drugs? c'mon, people on do drugs in the movies!
but seriously, everytime i light up a cig around a non-smoker friend i get the "you should quit" speech.
its gets redundant. |

well, the point is this.
1. it *is* the law (i know we all break laws but that doesnt make it okay)
2. if you are standing near me, it is also my lungs and my sense of smell. cigs are disgusting.
3. i def agree with everyone on the 'post-club smell.' when i used to come home from a club i *HAD* to change (no matter how tired i was) or else i would probably throw up. now i can come home and just go plop rite into bed. yummy. |

well , here is MY point:
1. it is the law, and all the non smokers got their way , so why are you still bitching about it?
2. nobody said you HAVE to stand next to a person that is smoking? clubs are made big enough so you can venture around. go to a smoke free area , where you don't have to ruin ur lungs..but again, it is "the law" that nobody smokes in nyc clubs/bar anylonger, so again stop bitching.
3. why are you still crying about it? you can come home with your fresh , clean clothes? SMOKE FREE :o
guys, seriously, i really don't want to hear this....non-smokers got their way for a smoke free environment, so why still moan and groan... |

lol i luv you evan...yeah, i got into a fight with a bouncer at sasha on nye...he came up to me (dressed in normal clothes) and did some sort of smoking motion so i said "oh no, i dont have anymore" and he said "I DIDNT ASK FOR ONE, IM TELLING YOU TO PUT IT OUT". i was like "sorry!! this is my first time in new york"...haha, ass...then he said some more power trip things and i said a few unmentionables as well :tongue2
but hey, people are gonna smell regardless of smoke after 6-8 hrs of dancing...so why not let the people do what they want to do? |
