i have to admit that i dont like the smoke here that much. it is reallyy heavy and the europeans can really smoke here! and i am a smoker, when i go out and drink. i actually like going to a club in NYC and not coming home with my clothes and my hair (i hate when the smell gets in your hair...ewww) smelling like smoke. The one thing that i really like more than not coming home smelling like smoke was that i have enough of a claustrophobia problem that when someone smoked to next to me, i was really worried that i would get burned or it would burn my clothes.....when i did smoke in clubs i always did it off to the side. but there is something about the right to smoke that they took away that bothers me.
when i came home for a visit and i went to my school to take care of a few things, i was amazed to see a sign that said no smoking within 15 feet of this building. i mean are they trying to take away the right to smoke outside? i only saw it at my school and maybe b/c that was state property was the reason.
anyway if they had a separat place for smoking then i would be fine with that, but it is too late for that. i mean if you are going to a place to drink, etc, then you should be allowed to smoke. |

| oh yeah and the no smoking law cut down my smoking habits when i go out, so the next morning i dont wake up with a bad sore throat. :D |

Law sucks and stassi is right, clubbers who whine about ther clothes smelling like smoke after leaving a club are babies and I think shouldn't those clothes be on their way to the laundry ANYWAY....i sure hope so it you've been dancing all night.
TO the real law-loving non-smokers....I will smoke in every NYC club as much as I can heh as I don't really care about the law guys, deal with it, but i will not be the only one either, and sure you can try to report me for this, but shouldn't you be dancing and having fun rather than being a club cop?

Smokers: "Ill ing smoke wherever the i want to and i dont give a about the laws!!!"
Non-Smokers: "I ing hate when people smoke and get me all stinky and nasty!!!"
Cant we all just get the along??? Smokers, go to your smoking area and light it up and then meet us Non-Smokers back on the dance floor.;) Its all about the music. And all you people that say you dont go out now cause you cant smoke.....LOL. Grow the up and support your local DJ!!!:whip: |

oh i'll take this arguement anyday over some others that will remain nameless...anyway I have not stopped going to clubs, just same as before, but i have stopped going to bars because of the law. Any you cant get away with smoking in any bar now, no smoking areas, so thats the worst part of it. At least clubs try to accomidate

its easy for YOU to say that, your not the one who has to go OUTSIDE in the in cold to smoke.
your not the one who has to miss time from the DJ set to enjoy a smoke.
saying that is like Mike Jackson saying "it doesn't matter if your black or white" immedietly after he turned white.
man, how many times have i seen someone puke their brains out in a club, and no one complains about the 'stinkiness' most people are too ed up and dance right over it! |
