Last night was wicked!
Thanks to Liam for organizing the meetup w/G&D. Last nite, I 'pulled a Dallas" when I didn't take notice as to who Liam's '2 new buddies' were across the table from him. LOL! nice turnout at Scotland Yard- for once, even Swamper showed up.

Got in fairly quickly. Holy the sound in the KH was deafening!!! Thank goodness for earplugs!! Broke in my new spelling light toy, since I've been out of commission since PVD (Thanks again, Chris for that wicked x-mas gift!).

Great sets from everyone on the bill. Was surprized to hear "Murder was the Bass" dropped by G&D, just as I was surprized to hear "Street Carnivale" dropped by Piet. I guess since it was Innercity's theme song, but still... G&D had some WICKED tracks, with the exception of "As the rush comes" (will that song PLEASE go away?!?!) Mushroom was doing a great job, but I needed to go check out Anne Savage for a bit. She was BANGING them out- too bad I missed some of her best tunes- hardhouse remixes of "Rock your Body Rock", "Seven Cities" & "Go!" by Moby- I would've LOVED to hear those!!! Then came back to catch another 30 mins of IM, who were really killing it at this point. Got to go on stage for Rank 1's set
(thanks John & Em). Camera wouldn't focus for a bit for some reason, so my pics taken with IM, and LKD & Maxtuh's pics w/Piet came out totally blurry . Piet's friend Barry was really cool. Chatted it up with him a bit. Many unknown tracks dropped by Piet, as well as many Rank 1 classic tunes. He played "Symsonic" at our request. Didn't get to check out any of Mark O, since Graham wanted nothing more than to go home b4 the party was even done.

Had a bit of an after-party chill out over here- was the largest turnout ever. I had no idea THAT many came up from the Michigan/ Indiana area! Ok, well, they look like a huge bunch in this small apartment.... Hanging with those guys was lotsa fun. Several TOTA's over here too- I think about 17 people in here (& 3 cats)total, lol! "Shhh! Inside voices....." Those US kids rock! I had a really good time with them. Too bad Timmy left his wallet here.

Best part of the after-party:
Just b4 the US people left, I called Joy Kitikonti to wish him a happy b-day (turns out I was a day early). I had everyone in the room sing him happy b-day over the phone. He LOVED it, and asked us to sing it again, so he could record it on his phone (so we did it again). Who knows where that will end up....

Too many people to give shout outs to. But a happy belated b-day to Navid.

Cheers! -Nat

It wasn't that long ago when you liked that song a LOT! :toothless hEHE ... well, I feel really really really bad that I had to miss the meetup (I worked till 8PM) and by the time me, my friend and Hami got to Guv it was almost 10, and since none of us were on the guestlist, we didnt even think about going to drop by Scotland Yard. We waited in the line for about 20 minutes.

Noone took any pictures of me or my friend to have a reminder of the great night ... I didnt even meet a quarter of all roll-called TAs (around 30 TAs maybe I talked to - see prev posts) ... that was pretty much the ONLY bad thing overall that night. I was too dam tired for after-party (worked all sat) and my friend had to be at his work by 9AM. I wish I could have met more TAs, otherwise I will still be treated like a newbie and with suspicion, and I am NOT A NEWBIE!!! :whip: I want to become a regular member of this community, but thats not possible cause I barely met like 40 TAs ... and I know the names to like only 20 of them . Its just hard to put away the work, chores and preparation out of the way on time ...

Was it Mark Oliver who spun in the main room at around 6:00PM? Cause thats when I got into the coat check line, and I heard some fabulous tunes that are still ringing in my head right now, like Armin's Blue Fear '03 and Envio's Time To Say Goodbye ....
:eyes: :eyespop:

Oh, yeah, I have to add that Anne Savage is HOT, and I cant believe I missed her show completely ... I was getting progged and Infected. :D I forgot that she only spun until 3, so when I got to the main room at around 3:10, it was all over ...

Hey, I've been apart of TA for ages now 3 years and I still haven't met EVERY SINGLE TA at every event...you cannot possibly meet everybody! I just hang out with those that I know relatively well and then meet others bit by bit...
Magnetonium
Endlesswave, that statement does not apply JUST to that party ... it applies to ALL the TA parties I've been to.

Its my fault I am missing out on many things, but generally a lot of people know me, back here in Hamilton ...

thanks everyone for putting your hands in the air, etc. it was an awesome time and one of our favorite gigs so far!

josh and i take turns we don't actually both play at the same time. i went first and josh went 2nd.

josh's last song was tom mcrae "you only disappear" he usually plays the song over other tracks since its an acoustic rock track with no drums.

we hope to be back in t.o. again soon!

cheers

All I have to say is that I love Gabriel and Dresden. They dropped one of the best trance sets that I've heard in a long time. I got there around 12:45 with Drgoodvibe, tha_broad, my buddy brendan, and my roomate Mike. Both Mike and Brendan are not really into trance but they absolutely loved G + D's set. Then on came infected mushroom. I have to say that although there stuff was fun, I dont like these guys at all and I kept wishing they would come off sooner. Due to the numerous falls snowboarding on Saturday, my knees were all swollen and as a result I had trouble standing near the end of their set. I wanted to wait for Rank1 but I just couldn't do it. So I left with Mike and Brendan and as I write, this I missing Rank 1. However, while waiting to get out coats we were able to hear them open with what other than Airwave. Oh well, maybe next time. I had a great time, just really tired. Good to see everybody, I'm not even going to try and name anybody as they were everywhere. At one point in the night, Em asked if I wanted to meet any new TA's and I said that I just couldn't do it. It was a bit overwhelming. So I hope everybody had a great time and I'll see you again soon.

Thanks for an awesome night!!! Come back as soon and as often as you'd like :D

This night set the bar pretty high for the rest of the year's events !

davedresden
as for why we still play "as the rush comes" - do you see the reaction it gets? and since it's our song, we like to see that reaction.

that said, we prob wouldn't still play it if we didn't make it.

tell everyone to sit down when we play it and perhaps that might make it go away :P

as the rush came,
