Great job guys, this sounds really nice imo. I do think it sounds way more like SoM than Luke's way of making tracks though.

That melody in the background sounds just like Starlight Requiem, am I right? There are several bars that sound really similar... Anywayz, it sounds very nice and atmospheric.

I dunno about that breakbeat part... Everyone these days almost feels obligated to use a small part in the mix so it seems. To me it would sound just as good without it. Then again, you don't have to remove that just for me ;)

Cheers,
Wim

The chimes are in this track to help tell the story:) The song starts out dark and brooding, like all hope is lost and you just want to roll over and die. You're sick of the world you live in and all of the war and death. Then during the breakdown comes the epiphany when you realize that there are things worth living for, there is some good in the world, and you gain a new appreciation for the things around you and the people you love. The chimes are just supposed to accentuate that feeling as the song builds up to climax.

if you say so :toothless i reakon they just sound nice :)

wim, i would say it's pretty much a mangle of both our sounds all in all

thanks to every1 else for the support :)

Wim: Yeah there are some similarities to SR, only in the pad, the last couple of bars. The pads in this track start on a 5th (A and E) while the pads in SR start on a 3rd (A and C) so the feeling of the track is different, which is what's important.

The breakbeat was put in there to go with all the other orchestral stuff to build tension. I've never used one before in any other tracks so I thought it would be fun to put one in.

Everyone else: Thanks :)

From what I have heard so far, this track has potential to be one of my favourite tracks.

Very soothing. Interesting structure in terms of almost feels like two melodies going at same time.

Must be :) I just thought because you're a fan of the 3xosc sound for main leads and all and I didn't hear any in this track.

Nevertheless great work guys. Let us know how the promo goes :)

Track pretty much broke down like this:

Me: Strings, Synths, melodies, track structure (laying out basic structure)
Luke: Percussion, bass, technical stuff (keeping the track clean and flowing), track structure (transitions, filtering and automation).

Which probably explains why the style might sound more SOM than Elude, but in actuality we both put in a lot of work into it:) Its just my pads and strings really stand out so no matter who I do a collab with it will probably have that sound as long as I'm doing the melody.

Anyways, promos going out today! We'll let you know how it goes.

Ill not downlaod cause you sent me a sample of it not too long ago!

Havent heard it in about a week, so off the top of my head it sounded great! Strong beats, flows nicwely, good progression and as always well engineered!

P.S. - Expect a "Chris Shepherd Remix" ;)
