sweet tune.. typical uplifting, i'm not the biggest fan of it, but it sounds above average - the melodies are very inspired at least. the break felt a little bit too.. calm though. sound wise it's pretty professional.
State of Matter
Thanks for the comments everybody:)

I do agree that it's uplifting, don't think its too typical though. We put a lot of thought into the structure of the track and the melody was written to shift from dark and brooding to hopeful and peaceful. Sometimes trance is just made to be epic for no good reason, but there was actual thought behind this (some emotions are best stated boldly as apposed to being subtle). So its epic trance with a purpose:)

Very good track guys! One of the few songs i like in this section.

Did you sent it to anyone? And what did they say?

to be honest, wim said it sounds more like state of matter's influence than lukes but i think its the other way around. its just that u (wim) have some kinda idea that luke only uses that 3osc sound that he used like 2 years ago.
State of Matter
Well, like I said I wrote the melodies and synths so its possible to confuse the styles. All collaborations tend to lean towards one persons style than the others, it all depends on who works on the synths/melodies. MK-S vs Nickson - Fallback sounds more like MK-S than Nickson, KOTA - Waiting sounds more like Tate than Koglin, Gouryella tracks sound more like Ferry than Tiesto, etc.

That doesnt mean each person didnt put in an equal share ;)

Who cares, it's a good tune =P

State of Matter and Luke Terry,

This tune is big! I absolutely LOVE the melody. Like I said in another thread, sometimes (and what seems like most of the time) a simple melody can take you a long way! This is fantastic trance. I would buy this in a second if I could. Also, that synth you guys used is close to my favorite Ive heard in a very long time (just may be my fav Ive heard on this board for as long as Ive been a member). Also, the clap or snare, I think you used a snare, just fits right into the song perfectly, IMO. I love Darren Tate and this reminds me faintly of something he might produce - or sign to his label Mondo. That is a big compliment (in my mind and I hope in yours too)!!:)
So, great job. I love it.
I know how trying a collaberation (sp) can be. It sounds like you guys had a similar experience I had when I produced a track with a friend of mine a year ago. It was all give and take; things I liked he didnt and vice versa. But the song did come out good, as collaberating is slow but can be worth it.
I hope to hear more in future!
Good luck selling it around. I wish you guys the best.:clown:
