I was wondering (and yeah, I've tried the search) if any particular slipmats are needed to spin EDM? Are there any huge differences between slipmats, or is it just the logo? I won't be scratching or anything like that, but I wouldn't mind if I could do a backspin or two once in a while. Will the slipmats that comes with the MK2's do do the work? (Ordered a pair of 1210's earlier today :D).

i think the mk2's come with rubber slipmats. Not sure though. If so, you can't do scratches/backspins at all, you also wont be able to cue on the record etc.
I believe felt ones are best. |

christ - throw away the 'slipmats' you get with your techs :P
those are for radio djs back in 1961 heheh
felt slipmats for sure
the 'sicmats' own it hard, but in general it doesnt matter too much |

| my mk2's came with the rubber things and felt slipmats, but i got them about 3 years ago so they might not come with them now. but i have a nice pair of anjunabeats slipmats on there now :D |
