All I know is this: I live in a community where arguments between anyone debating prog vs trance vs techtrance vs hardtrance would get said participants LAUGHED AT!!! This is because a vast majority in the underground EDM scene think ALL those genres are and don't ever want to see them be successful. Many would much rather see ourselves bicker our favorite music to death.
In the grand scheme of things, we (in the US mostly) have more to worry about, like how trance/prog/etc are fairing against pop music and hip-hop, which rule all over around here.
To sum up, if we continue being all l33t and :

1. Claiming that deep-insert-style-here is the only true form of music.
2. Refering to artist by real name, instead of artist alias.
