It's hard to overstate the influence our upcoming guest has had on today's progressive sound. As a producer, Cass Cutbush has consistently churned out electronic music's most groundbreaking and timeless works. As a DJ, he remains at the forefront of those pushing boundaries, melding sounds and thrilling audiences.
Cass' production work is legendary. Alongside studio partner Pete Martin, the duo known as Cass & Slide achieved worldwide recognition with prodigal original tracks and remixes championed by the world's biggest DJs. He has gone on to collaborate with the likes of Danny Tenaglia, Sean Cusick, Jimmy Van M, Lee Burridge, Satoshi Tomiie and Hernan Cattaneo; and his work has been featured on some of the genre's most defining releases, such as Sasha's Global Undergound Ibiza mix.
Although he resides in London, Cass appears regularly in every corner of the world. His multi-flavored party-bag of progressive/techie/breakbeat madness continually bulldozes crowds from Buenos Aires to Syndey to Helsinki. In 2002, Cutbush held a duel residency at Spundae in Los Angeles and San Francisco, a much-heralded gig that led to his first proper mixed compilation, "Spundae: Interpretations III." We are very excited to present Cass in his first California appearance in almost two years!!
Setting the tone for the evening, Fastvibes' very own Jeffrey Allen will get things started nice and dark. 2004 finds Jeffrey coming off yet another year in which he surpassed all expectations and continued his ascent as one of the West Coast's premier up-and-coming talents. In the last quarter of 2003 alone, Allen opened for Anthony Pappa in Los Angeles, Steve Lawler in San Francisco and alongside John Digweed at Avalon's New Year's Eve extravaganza. Be prepared for JA to take you down to the eerie depths with his unique style of dark, chunky, mind-twisting beats.
