| and right after he dropped the astral mix of cloudwalking, drops the volume and brings it back in when the main riff gets going..that was bliss. Too bad tijs can't play like that anymore. |

well, dunno if its saved my life, but definitely saved a lot of my grades by helping me stay up to study for tests :D
like a night just a week ago or so.. was home alone and i had been just relaxin all day and then all of a sudden remembered i had this huge test the day after, the clock was like 10 pm so i was kinda stressed ^^; well just sat down by the computer and fired up this hardstyle set at HIGH volume (like its supposed to :D) and it kept me up until like 4 am, then slept two and a half hours and then to skewl to make the test (got highest grade :D) and then just got home and threw myself into bed:cool: |

Thats pretty true also.
I did go through a heavy depression just few months ago where life had none of the importance to me, and i saw no light at the end of the tunnel.
And this is coming from a person who has always helped out the best with all the friends and people who were in that stage a person who always had the spark in life.
Well i gues family and friends have helped me out a fair bit and i never believed in drugs in a way so i didnt take any anti depres pills, so bit by bit i cleared my head while chilling back to trance or going to local clubs and setting my spirit free also visiting church and thinking about future etc,,,
Time went by and i must say that im as happy with life as i could ever be and yes trance did help me a fair bit, as its music with motion, and rhytm that makes sence and as i see it , trance is todays classical music. :) |

People dedicate their LIVES to making music. You act as though it's of NO importance in the world? |
i dunno dude, i think i'll have to agree with him partially...
it's fine to dedicate your whole life to music if thats what inspires you, but that's obviously not the case here...
if something as insignificant as going to a party turns your life completely around, then you've got some serious problems...

I will actually dissagreeee with you. Why ? Because we humans tend to strive for perfection and to bring our level of life to the stage of what we prefer or want it to be.
In our world today media, war and whole lot of other bul5hit makes the life so much harder than it was before and influences our society ither you want it or not, ok lets get back on the topic.
If by going to a "party" and letting go of the todays worrys and all the trouble by simply moving your body to the rhytm that soothes your mind then why not ? Why is it not right? I mean if the music is that powerful to give you that extra little space to realise and think about life then it should be awsome,,,, no artificial fueling, just music that allows your brain to think positive at that time....
Ok so you might think that im crazy but im sure few people will agree with the point that im making here.
Sorry for spelling or the crappy sentences that may not make much sence, im just in abit of a hurry. |

right, so how is he striving to perfection by attending an event that lets him escape from reality for couple of hours?

you can only be influenced by what you let influence you.. if you see that watching today's world media is having a negative effect on you, tune out, don't blame it for you being a sucker and buying into it!

it's not right because he's not addressing the problem at hand.. he didn't cure himself, he will eventually relapse and may even worsen his condition in the long run.. he must've had fun at the event, and that's great, but that's just a false sense of reality, and people must realize that.. |

I do see where you are coming from, that people shouldnt rely on music as a total problem solver,,,, its not and before you get your life straight you must get your self sorted true.
I just ment that if people can feel good by listening to music and not going on a narcotic neadle for example to help relieve the problem then its a wonderful experience, that can be achieved by simple sound :) |

You are a true assclown and most of the time I call people that, I don't mean it but I do sincerly mean it this time. If something makes someone happy and helps relieve depression and it's not illegal and breaks no laws then stfu and let the person have his or her relief. Depression is a serious problem that effects 1 in 5 people and most take medication for it. I've been thru it and it's not nice but if you find something that works for a while and you are not on medication, every little bit helps. Also after all the crap that has happened with suicide and the people that went thru the incidents, I for one feel that it should be left alone and no one should be told to kill themselves...you sir are clueless, please think next time before you speak. |
Funny, your pm to me was so friendly and informative... unlike this load of ... hypocrite. You call me clueless, uninformed... you tell me to be sensitive. Try looking at it from another point of view before you flame. There are those out there that really do contemplate suicide serisously.. and nothing as insignificant as a song (however beautiful and emotional it may be) is gonna be the one deciding factor in their decision to live or die. To lay claim to such only shows a fickle outlook on the subject and reveals the the person saying such things as somebody who really isnt all that serious about it. Take an example.. somebody who got raped, or ed as a kid... somebody who loses both parents in a tragic accident... somebody who gets completely devastated by somebody they love... they contemplate kiling themselves... but wait, they hear a song! and suddenly everything is ok?! What a load of ...
And if you tools dont want to discuss this subject frankly, then dont make topics about it in a public forum... what a bunch of crybabies. |
