bastards.
they now dont let you buy virgin value tickets of value under 10 quid with a railcard, and guess how much a ticket is to ing birmingham
9.50
they might as well make it 9.99 to completely take the piss.
this s me right off now coz the cheapest i can get to birmingham is 15 quid if i book it in advance 7 days, if i buy it 3 days in advance for 19 quid way it is more expensive than buying the ticket on the day with my railcard, 18 quid.
infact what makes it even more stupid is i can buy a return from leeds to brum for 3 cheaper than sheffield to brum!
what a bunch of ing wankers.
richard branson i wish you aids or death by exploding airbaloon, . |

well there is hardly any point, on the day it is 18 quid, for 2 quid less i can get 3 day advances from leeds OR 7 day advances for 15 quid from sheffield.
but for those extra few pounds i could buy the ticket on the day and not have t worry about getting to the station at certain times... |

not really when a) you live in london and b) my total travel cost would be 20.60 ;) |

nah birmingham to sheffield aint 140 miles, it takes less time than darlo to sheffield and that is about 96 miles, and it is on a slow track, the journey o nthe whole is about 80 odd miles i think. |

| Ok forgive me if im wrong .. but cant u find u buy a ticket for 1 stop further beyond brum .. 1 of those tiny e stations like hinckley and get the cost just over £10 thus allowing u to use ur railcard which should reduce the cost below the £9.50 ? |

| its lunacy how its cheeper to buy a plane ticket from london to paris than it is to train 30 miles. |
