Whelp, I am being told that Spundae has no contract for Markus in SF and LA and Armin's/Markus' management has once again said (to Spundae) they are not sending an opener for Armin in SF and LA...
And this is as of this morning.
I have officially given up in trying to figure out what the is going on...I will not believe anything until I see the final flyers, something on Spundae's site, or hear something directly from Spundae, or I get a nice detailed explanation of what the hell is going on from Armin or Markus...because the booker is who lets who play, not the DJs :)
I want to go around and yelp to everyone I know that Markus is coming, because I know tons of people (who don't follow the scene closely) who would come just to see him, but I will not until I get a good confirmation.

HHmmmm, well that's what Markus himself told me. When I told him that "rumor has it he won't be playing with Armin". He looked at me and said "no, no. don't listen to the rumors". We'll see what ends up happening.......but he did definately say yes to the TA meet up. |

Whelp, as I said...Spundae (Guiv, the founder, to be specific) told me straight up he has no contract for Markus to play and he contacted Armin's management again yesterday morning and they said they were sending no one with Armin...
Now, there could be the very chance Markus is coming out here on his own and play for free to get exposure, but at the same time, I would think Spundae would know about this.

gutted but I can't afford to come over to sf for this show anymore - Armin is on in Atlanta on April 1st so I am lucky I can afford the drive down.
hoping to come out in May for an event though (hopefully G&D!!) - anybody else in here hate bills and the fact that they always come at the most inappropriate times! |

According to wantickets, AVB got booked at ICE
for his Vegas gig May 29th. See my post on the spundae board.
I hope you TA's show up and do something about the crowd there,
who will undoubtedly have know clue who AVB is! And don't forget
drinks are EXPENSIVE so drink up at the casino first!
I'm going to see him in Chi where he is building up a huge following.
And I'm going to Wrigley too :stongue: |

Whelp, I have the flyer from LA...no mention of Markus. Was told once again that Markus isn't coming...
And Armin is playing a FOUR hour set in LA...
Haven't seen the SF flyer, so dunno about his set length here yet.
Also to note, the flyer says AvB @ Godskitchen...no real mention of Spundae other than the website :p |

Wow...4 hours in LA??? that's really darn good, consider they close
*officially* at 4am. Hmm better get there early.
I would have thought SF would be getting the longer set.
I was just at the Miami show during WMC, it was great but *very* short. Markus was on the decks in the main room until Crystal Method came on, then Armin played at most an hour and a half. I Should have asked Armin if Markus was coming out with him for SF and LA when we were hanging with him upstairs after (honestly cool as , he must have been hanging out for a half hour or so after with everyone).
Hey but at least I got a pic with him!
Also there was no mention of Spundae at all at that show (not unexpected since Miami is not one of Spundae's markets really and sounds like the Spundae name will eventually fade), there were
Godskitchen signs everywhere though!
Oh one thing I saw that was funny, in one of those clothing shops along washington ave with all the knockoffs, there was a t-shirt for sale that read "Sundae" (yep, no 'p') with the exact same Spundae font we all know. I gotta think Guiv (though I don't know him personally at all) wouldn't be too happy 'bout that! |

| just realized Apr. 4 is daylight savings, does this mean actually a 3hr set? hehe :wtf: |
|
|

Hmmm, good question about the daylight savings time...
One of three scearios...
1) Armin comes on at 11pm and plays until 4am (with the 2am-3am skip in there)
2) Spundae didn't realize it was DST weekend and messed up on the flyer thinking he'd play from 12am-4am.... :p
3) Circus stays open an extra hour because of the time change on thsi night and armin plays from 12am-5am (wit the 2am-3am skip in there).
All I know is the flyer clear says "4 HOUR SET!!!"
As for SF, no opener is mentioned with Armin on the Spundae calendar in the newsletters...soooo, maybe he's doing an all-night set?!?!? :p
He'll probably come an at 1am and play until 4:30 or 5:00am
