Hi everyone,
most of you dont know me, but hi, i'm janieliza, and I am a NYTA newbie well since Nov anyway ...I would like to arrange a meeting with y'all just to meet each other, away from a club so we can talk etc, what does everyone think? Maybe midweek, wednesday, around happy hour (heh)
Anyone interested show yer interest here, I am doing this for 2 reasons and I hope it works...first one is of course I can never find any of you when I go to stuff! So this would give me, and others, a chance to meet each other/everyone. Doesn't have to cost alot, a few drinks- $10 mebbe- and some good convo and all that.
2nd reason is because someone is coming into town from the UK who wants to meet NY clubbers! I am going to be our ambassador so to speak lol...other volunteers are welcome I may not be the best for this job but i'll give it a shot.....
Anyway so hope to hear from someone, anyone, who is interested, I am partial to a couple places downtown, but how about Puck Fair, or 288 both near broadway/lafayette.
Lemme know if not i'll be there anyway I expect...lol |

So I guess the other 13 of you who have looked at this post think it's a lame idea....or are just shy?
I have rarely seen shyness here on this board, except from myself...ok come on ny'ers, it'll be fun....am open to other ideas- does no one but me hate waiting all the way to the weekend to have a little fun? Not talking about a late thing here, maybe 7-9 or something....

| you might be able to get more people interested on a thursday night, or a weekend night before a big party. not everyone is right in the city, so on a night when people have work the next day it's not so easy to get people together. were you talking about this week? |

I live in astoria so the NRWQ456 tracks are very accessible to me, I'm always down for a drink so if your ever interested PM me and ill give u my #.

| I wouldnt mind being in attendance... I dont know how good a day Thursday would be though because the 29th is my first day of classes. It also depends on how late you want to go hang out on Thursday because I finish my last class at 7:30PM, and I dont mind hanging out for a while because I dont have classes on Friday. So, whatever, just let me know whats going on, btw Im not 21 - so Ill have to improvise without alcohol, unless they serve me. ;) |

hey there...yeah wat thinking this Wednesday, i like thursday too, but since Friday is beginning to have potential for alot of partying, I thought a day of rest would be good.....heh I always tend to stay out once I get there.
Vlad, and others under 21, the place I was considering Puck Fair also serves food, so is pretty cool, I cant promise they'll serve you alchohol but I am sure we can figure something out if we have a table....heh heh
OK I will PM people posting here by Tuesday (tomorrow) for the final plan!
The closest subways to here are Bway/Lafayette Station on the F/V, the Prince St station on N/R, and Bleeker Street on the 6 train. Best way to find from there is ask someone but its on Lafayette, just south of Houston St :) |
