I'm kind of indifferent to the whole ARC closing. Granted it was nice to have a club that you didn't have to worry about ID's and such, but ARC was a real dark alcohol-free pit IMO. Most of the nights there are hard to remember because I had to pregame so hard. Avalon is a MUCH better venue, and after finally going to Cro-bar last weekend, WOW is all I can say. I can't wait for Sasha & Digweed to tear that place out. Most of the good DJ's weren't even schedule to play ARC. Ferry, Cox, Picotto, etc. are all at Avalon. ARC to me is like one of those throw-back clubs, not glamorous and you really feel like its about the music.....heck, the best thing about it is the soundsystem..
I wont believe any of this until I hear Bindra say it..
In regards to Centro being turned into BED...oh well..just another "Posh" venue for NY...not for me. |

that's what i was thinking too....
i'll be really sad if Arc closes. it was my intro to the trance scene, and to many TAs. i'll never forget the night Brianna, Daniela, and I went to Arc to see Judge Jules (ick!!) and Victor Dinaire last spring. was my first time meeting either of them in person, and the first time that i'd gone to Arc with people who appreciated the music as much as I did. :D |

Yeah same here, I can't stand ty ass Cubik @ Nation. Full of in candy retarded ravers and weird ass people. I can't wait till March. I might just live at Glow. :D |

I love how people bash Arc, yet it is hands down the best club around. There one thing I dont like about Crobar - its nice that you guys want to appeal to an older crowd, thats fine, but the older crowds could care less about the people you book, they just want to drink and meet girls. You might as well start booking people like JV because it will save the club alot of cash booking people like Sasha and Digweed. Now Im not saying there isnt an older crowd that appreciates and enjoys the music but there isnt too many - not as many as Crobar anticipates.
For me, Im 20 - and I could careless about the people in the club around me, I just want to go party for Sasha & Digweed, but that wont happen because its 21+. I find that a joke. |
